Just saw him win in Montreal this afternoon. He destroyed everyone else on the climbs and crossed the finish line with enough time to be able sign autographs and pose for pictures.

I was there. Great race. His team did all the work while he sat mid pack until 4 laps to go. Once they caught the break he attacked on the Mount Royal with 2 laps to go. 2nd battled back and wasn’t too far behind.

@@TheGagnonRx yes, his team did a great job and I did see him on the last lap on CH where the final break happened. He was just motoring away on 10% grade right from the bus stop. Quite a sight to see.

cycling has never been in a era where ist more competetive and he is doing smackdown on everyone everywhere in that area - yeah theres never even been anyone close to Pogacar in the history that much is pretty easy to figure out. Simply the best theres ever been by a mile

@@floam11 Maybe the shorts not completely in middle position. If he have a shorter right leg, then why not use a shim on the right leg? A bike fitter would definitely put a shim, if he have a leg difference, but he not use.

I was not using the bib as a reference. His hip is clearly tilted to the right and his right ankle reaches to compensate (more pronounced flexion) He seems to have a shim as well. I suffer from the exact same problem and there is a limit on how much you can shim until the distance of the pedal axle changes the lever too much. I have 1cm leg difference but can only tolerate 5mm of shim, and staggering the cleat a bit more forward on the shorter leg to be able to have a good trade off between the left on short extension and the right reaching a bit more. Despite all of this I still tilt the hip.

Do you outweigh him? If so he'd be pushing slightly lower watts. Zone 2. After that video of him doing 270 and saying Zone 1 I've been figuring his FTP is around 450

@@lupitlupitan I'll go 35%, no higher. It was just a lactose test. He can push 8-900 watts so 3-400 watts was light training. Probably 5-600 is the norm on regular training.
