I just tried this on an Atlas model with an ESU decoder…beautiful. This works so great, the engine crawls at speed step 1. Thanks for posting this.

Hi Guys Im a U.K.ho American model railroader & use NCE Pro cab, Ive just fitted a NWSL Stanton spud type motor in my Brass M190 S.F, & Im having trouble getting my ESU Sound decoder to run properly. Ive had no other problems with my other loco ESU installations. My M190 first was very slow to start & stop so I put the correct cvs in then it went fast & jerkey no control at all. so after seeing this you tube info I tried cv 54 the bell sounded after a fast start like you said & its still uncontrolable. Ive tried lots of other cv & still havent got it working.. I changed the sound decoder for nonsound & it works fine I also went back to DC & it runs superb. but I want to use my ESU DECODER which are the best.... Ive got them in all my other locos sorry this is so long but Im now desperate for some info

I got 2 of the HO sw1200 "s with ESU LOL SOUND from Rapido everything worked like you said ,but made my engines run worse, any ideas what's wrong with that , I did everything like you said , is it because of maybe because of the motor being from Rapido

Question, how to use this function while using the cab on the LokSound firmware? The F1 just turns lights on and off. Do you have to put this on a program track with your DCC system, in my case CVP? This doesn't seem make sense. Thanks for any help. Cheers,

So to be clear, after writing "0" to CV54 using program on the main (NCE throttle/cab), do we exit the program mode then press F1? Didn't work for me! Can this process by used on any brand decoder or just ESUs?

Dose CV54 work with any decoder, or just that one?

It's and ESU plug, so obviously its just their decoder. Most do have Back EMF, but I think this is the only one with an auto adjust feature.
