Trains at Dawlish, GWML + RL - 3/9/16

In this video I visited the scenic Dawlish station on the Great Western Main Line and the Riviera Line. Services are seen here by Great Western Railway and Cross Country. Joining me here was TrainclipsHD, South West Trainspotting, Great Western Trains and GreatWesternSpotter.
It was a great session here at Dawlish despite the poor weather conditions. It turns out that Dawlish is good rain or shine so that makes it even better. I really enjoyed it here and will definitely be coming back. Lots of great traction and awesome tones met us at Dawlish and we all enjoyed ourselves very much.
My next station is Newport on the SWML and that will be up on the 10th September. Also going up on Thursday 8th September is my Q&A answers.

I remember going to Dawlish as part of my GCSE Geography course. It was nice to hear and see the trains go by whilst I was there.

Dawlish is a great station. Dawlish in a storm is so much fun. Used to do it all the time as a kid. Needs a bit a clean inside the bridge, though. Other than that it's amazing. Brilliant view in good weather.

Awesome Video Bud :) 153325 used to be with LM but was transferred to GWR with 153333 in 2012 due to LM keeping 150105/150107/150109 and also the arrival of the 172's :)

Cheers Rob. Yes I remember when 153325 came down here with the LM logo stripped off but the colours still remaining. Glad they put a livery on it to make it less misleading. 😊

KTV Videos I'm wondering whether this is coming back to LM next year as they're gaining 6 153's to replace the 3 150's when they move to Northern hence why they haven't changed the seating. We'll just have to wait and see what happens only time will tell. :)

Another good one Kieran Dawlish I remember passing this station going to Penzance via Plymouth that GWR 57 looked good A Pacer sounds like a Mini !!! my John Cooper Works Mini sounds a lot better Nice English weather I guess Summer is almost over.

I think it's weird to associate a 220 or 221 CrossCountry service and Newport, as most of the CrossCountry services at Newport are formed of 170's between Cardiff and Nottingham. Not sure if you've been to Newport and seen otherwise, but that is what I think happens anyway

+Ben Tucker Well on this particular day the Voyagers were being diverted via Newport and Gloucester and because of an incident in the Lydney area this particular service ended up starting in Newport. Yes I've been to Newport and it isn't uncommon for a Voyager to appear at Newport anyway as remember there are the daily services from Piccadilly to Cardiff Central and vice versa. 😊

Yes Mate Becasuse 221140 was Working The 09:25-Plymouth-Aberdeen And The Train Was Cancelled At Newport Becasuse Of the Weather and the unit formed this Train From Newport to Paington Mate??????
