Part one of two videos covering a couple of hours at Redhill observing the comings and goings. With Southern running a reduced timetable until further notice, due to staff absences caused by Omicron Covid, the main line passenger traffic is Thameslink 700s. Southern are only running a Tonbridge to Reigate hourly shuttle with nothing scheduled on the main lines. Great Western are running the usual hourly Reading to Gatwick semi-fast and hourly Reading to Redhill stopping service. These are currently operated by class 165 units, however the future plan is for them to be class 4 car 769 bi-mode units. Testing has started and the purpose of my visit was to see one of the units running. 769938 obliged by turning up when expected.
