A fantastic 2 and a half hour stay here at the always good station of Rugby on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and Freight from Colas Rail, DRS, Freightliner and GBRF. We also see 323 202 heading down to Wolverton in preparation to be passed over to Northern.
Despite the wind, cold and the timetable slowly becoming a farce, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here today. It is a great station to film at and sometimes, the disruption makes it a little bit more interesting. Maybe I would've liked a bit more freight today but I won't complain with what I got. 2 68s, a 70 (albeit I was bowled by 390 125. Still fuming), 2 tampers and the Cemex 66 isn't to be complained about. A few Hitachis and 390 119 and 121 thrown into the mix, all in all a very good day out. If you've never been before then I do recommend it.
My next station will hopefully be Aston on the Cross City Line where we should see plenty of services from West Midlands Railway and hopefully some Freight as well.
