A very enjoyable hours session spent at St Denys station on the South Western Mainline where we see plenty of services from South Western Railway, Great Western Railway, Cross Country, Southern and freight from Freightliner.
Sadly there isn't really much to tell about this station. It's never been busy and it doesn't get much use from the station buildings, most of which are privately owned, one if them is owned by a local model railway society though. The station was opened by the London and South Western Railway in 1861 and when done so was actually named Portswood as that was the name of the local village that once stood at the station sight.
