Trains at: Warwick Parkway, CML, 07/09/17

At first I thought she wasn't going to go anywhere, the driver was putting the power down but 010 wasn't having any of it. Until he thrashed the thing out of the station. That was a beautiful sight to behold :D I'm sure we'll be able to do a vid together at some stage

I certainly picked a good spot to stand at when the 68's arrived :) It was chilly that evening so the heat from the engine was definitely welcome to say the least, Yeah the freight trains definitely weren't hanging around, that first DB Cargo UK 66 almost surprised me because I was facing the wrong way when it arrived. I'm glad you enjoyed the film :)

The station complex itself is nice enough but I found the on platform facilities to be very basic really. The announcements are almost non-existent as you can barely hear them. I'm almost wondering if there are any at all. Even the station displays can only be found at the northern end of the station. So lets say you were standing where I was to film the 68's then you really wouldn't have much of a clue as to where the train is going or even if your train is actually delayed. So personally I think they need to spread things out a little bit more along the platforms lengths. Another bug bear that I have is when the non stopping trains are passing the station again there is no announcement to the people on the station to stand clear of the platform edge, although that should be common sense really hahaha. My next station is Warwick which is only about a mile or so down the line from the Parkway station, I've been there once before and I wasn't massively impressed. But I'm up for giving the station a second chance so hopefully it can redeem itself. Take care my friend and have a good weekend.

Hahaa! You know I wanted to mention that, but didn't want to sound corny to the fact that you should be calling the trains as they come in. If only as a temp (Get this man a Bull-Horn) while filming, haha. For sure though the upgrades need a little more upgrading, still keep it classy. S#!t, the station has the traffic should be easy to pay for. Unless it's just a busy parking lot, they should hop to it! Maybe some sort of, Speed-Trap (sorry for the S-Word) type light that flashes near the platforms? Both ways! Enjoy your weeks end as well, and thanks again. B.P.

Thanks ever so much for saying so :) I really enjoyed my time here although the gap in-between trains passing by was fairly lengthy on some areas. I would come back here but probably during the middle of the day to catch a better variety of rolling stock

Thanks very much, the station was better than I had thought it was going to be, I may return here but I would come middle of the day to catch a more varied amount of rolling stock, especially as London Midland would be more frequent at that time.

well hopefully LNWR will do a better job, they have laid out their plans for the franchise and all of the changes that they are going to make. More regular services from London to Liverpool and Preston which will be great to see :) Time shall tell to see how they do

Yeah the MK3 carriages have electric doors, all MK3 carriages will need to have electric doors fitted to them by 2020 if my memory is correct

Thanks very much, I have to agree really the station itself doesn't have a huge amount to do or look at really apart from the car park which is blocked by the countless trees. I can't really say I would come back here myself. I will warn you when I go to Warwick it will be near enough the same so I can't promise you'd find that station any better to look at as it is extremely basic. Or atleats was the last time I was there
