The moral to this story is thank god the heater was actually working in the Cabin. So it made the perfect base camp. And having Charlie as comfortable as ever, it was all good.

Thanks Syd. It was hard work tbh mate. I'm just glad the heater was on. Charlie was ok. He was happy been in the cabin. There was some great stuff about which was a bonus . Still , we were glad to get home
In the "very" old days there was a water column at each end of the station and in the cold weather a brazier was manned by the station staff and sometimes by the "Bobby" now you have a heated waiting room. Tha goin soft owd lad but coal is still king. Thanks Pete.
Thanks, Roy, and thanks for that insight about the braziers back in the day. I'd not get to excited about a heated cabin lol ,them fan heaters are effective as long as you stand under them, lol. I'd rather be huddled around some good black gold burning on an open fire or a brazier mate, lol.
