Its been a long cold Winter with not much variety of traction on the Joint line, however I have managed to put together this video with a few different workings, I hope you enjoy watching.
1Z14 was a charter train called the LincNchord that started at Didcot & was 1 of the 1st passenger trains to use the new diveunder at Werrington. My son (Josh) was on it & nearly didn’t even make the tour because of that awful weather we had that weekend.
You did well to get out in that cold and windy weather we've had recently. Roll on summer so we can have some pleasant days out again. As you say, not much out of the ordinary but you did get triple 66's, a 60, 68 and a couple of 37's twice, and the lovely Duchess, so rather more variety than normal I'd say.👍
@@royharrison4122 Or what nearly didn't make it your way! On Tuesday 8th the 682E Ipswich to Lindsey oil tankers came from Peterborough along the Down Stamford to go via the dive under, unfortunately it took a wrong turn and then stopped just beyond the Marholm Junction pointwork heading for Stamford. It then reversed back to signal 0485 between Walton Footbridge and the New England ladder junction where presumably the correct road was set and off it went on its merry way down the dive under this time.
wonderful night time shots of the steam, notice only platform used again, was there any need to do platform 2 as looks like no conflicting move with the passenger trains
There is only one train booked to use platform 2. They have erected the new platform shelter this week, and the lifts are going on remote control, so platform 2 may get more use in the future John.
