The restored E2 tank engine didn't have a name, yet he knew he was a brother of Thomas the Tank Engine. He asked the Shed Master if he could somehow visit the Island of Sodor. "I'm sure it can be done," said the Shed Master kindly. Arrangements were swiftly made, and the next day, a special ferryboat took the E2 tank engine all the way to Sodor. Once on Sodor rails, the black E2 tank engine carefully went searching for Thomas. The E2 found he didn't need to go very far. Thomas caught sight of his estranged brother. The two engines whistled joyfully to each other. "I don't have a name," explained the E2. "I guess no-one could think of a name that would suit me, when I was built." He told Thomas the story of how he'd wound up in a rusty siding near the American Railroad, where he'd been discovered, and then restored to full working order. "I think the name Eric would suit you," mused Thomas thoughtfully. "I like that name, please call me by it," replied the E2. So Thomas and his brother Eric shared Annie and Clarabel happily. The two brothers were overjoyed to see each other. They couldn't have been any happier than they already were. The days of branch line fun swept by, and then the time came for the brothers to part. Eric didn't want to leave. "Please let me stay with Thomas," Eric begged Sir Topham Hatt. The Stout Gentleman got in touch with the American General Manager. Eric was glad to hear he could stay on Sodor for as long as he lived. Happy days, Eric. Long may you and Thomas work together.

I loved this new video! I'm I'm not sure if the addition of Sir topphamm hatt visiting the real way was a slight nod to them taking a look at those engines. But that was pretty awesome!

At least the Amtrak influence has come yet
