Hello, this is a great tutorial, thank you! I have a small problem, I try to create a grass spline, with the image texture repeated along the plane. In the material settings I put "repeat" and it looks fine in Blender, however in Trainz it appears to extend the image instead. Do you know what I did wrong?
Hiya there! I get an error saying "Invalid images for texture file: 'spikes.texture.txt' VE249: Failed to compile *.texture.txt file: spikes.texture.txt VE182: Material 'Material.M.onetex' in mesh 'spikes.fbx' is missing a texture for a mandatory texture slot 'albedo'" when importing, any ideas on how to fix? Many thanks! (Using Trainz 19)
Nice tutorial, it worked for me. The problem is when my 3D object exceeds 500 polygons. In my case, it has 3869. I get the following error: "VE109: The low-detail meshes total more than 500 polygons. This may have a negative impact on performance." I have made 3 versions of this object with different LODs (0, 1 and 2), but I cannot correctly import the model to Trainz. Any suggestion?
I have faced the same problem. Have you solved that? It really makes me mad, I can't see the zero LOD at all. I need to know my faults, it's not an exit to use obsolete im. format
@@olaf99a actually sir I made a OHE (catenary) in blender for testing purpose. And it is my fast model.. I just want to know all configuration file are same? If I copied from another content, it will be work ? I just made a simple catenary without texture..
@@HappY19096 Every type has a own config. For catenary you can use online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/KIND_Track . For every config you have to fill in the correct name, kuidnummer, 3d mesh and other stuff that you need. You can open other examples in Trainz content manager. Every object needs a texture by the way.
Thank you very much for this really useful tutorial. I guess I'll give Blender another try in order to create assets for Trainz. This FBX-"Method" seems a lot easier then using the old way. Edit.: By the way, are you considering showing us to 'bake' textures? Since you're using photos to create textures in this video, I wonder if you could also provide us a tutorial which explains texture creation by using the Blender built-in tools.
you all prolly dont care but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Finn Atticus i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Just save or export as a TGA 32 bit uncompressed. Be aware that the texture must be in power off 2 pixels. For example 512 x512 or 1024 x1024 of 512 x1024 pixels.

great tut olaf heb je dit al gezien maakt het makkelijker geo data in blender te importeren inclusief huizen ;P ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YNtKnmRXVlo.html keep up the good work I read on the trainz site its only works with trainz 2019 version like wtf maybe its better to make an rails addon for blender and dis trainz alltogether ;P
