In your example of the drop mix you appear to be triggering the start of the 2nd track by moving the fader on deck A. Is this a setting in Traktor's preferences, or on the controller that you are using?
I use eq to balance out and remove mid and high frequencies when i want to make room for vocal cues or vocal chops kind of. And obviously remove the low end of the incoming vocal. The stuff with 16 or 8 bar thing there though i have not touched. I go by ear, and do what sounds natural, or good. That said i am very new to traktor in general 🙂 and i tend to stay away from monotonous tracks, and more so play around with song that kind of fit together, and sound similar to one-another and add things where i see them fit. Hehe i am very selective in what music i listen to, so i mainly play around with handzup (eurodance) UK or happy hardcore, and euphoric hardstyle 😉
How do you manage to suddenly put the fader down and at the same time start the next tune in dropmix? I cant do it at the same time.. Is it because i'm using virtual software?
WOWCRITS no tracktor can play mp3 from the pic you just have to have the file on the computer and in traktor settings add the route of that track so that you don't have to look for it
Hi. Could someone please tell me how do you cue/mix a track in say decks 2,3, or 4 with the crowd only hearing what's playing in deck 1? I click on the headphones icon, icon lights up, but it makes no difference! Cheers
Hi. Thanks for your response. I've already tried that, and I can still hear all of Pro 2's playing decks through the headphones! Mixer is: Allen & Heath Xone 42
Hi just wondering with this tutorial and the others are you using an external controller or just keyboard and mouse? So for example when you do the drop mix are you merely pressing 'S' to play Deck B? Thank you and great videos BTW.
+Brendan Devine It can, if Auto Gain is on. However you might not always be using Traktor's internal mixer so it's good practice to learn to match levels.
+utsav raichura it was me by the way who did the video. All I did was get the levels the same. Then on the one quickly switch from one track to another. Watch my faders. Hope this helps.
+DJ Davine i did saw the faders, but is this the only way the other DJ's like afrojack changes the drop, coz when he changes the drop it is absolutely perfect, and by your tutorial there was a tiny second pause in the song, i have tried this trick already of switching it quickly but it's never perfect
