Thanks for the info, BTW If you dont want that lines on the monitor when you record try to make sure your shooter speed matches the refresh rate of the screen. (It should be a multiple of 50 or 60) ;)
Why doesn't it have an Audio Interface when it's marketed as being lightweight and minimalistic ? I don't want to have to carry around XY more devices just to plug this into an external interface. Also who needs this when you have an external mixer?
The idea is you carry only the X1, and the rest you have in the club. I carry only my X1 to most clubs, and then you connect the Pionner club mixer and CDJ by HDI
@@stand1859 effects, better hotcue buttons, and on my X1, the CUE button is actually a CUP button. So I can use the simple CUE buttons on the CDJs, and the CUP buttons on the X1. Also for many of my performances, having HOTCUE buttons close to eachother from both decks on the X1 is fundamental. Because I can press 2 hotcue buttons with one hand and operate the volume mixer fader with the second hand
This is complete crap. Switched to rekordbox 5years ago and seeing this ''innovation'' just reminds me that i made right choice. At least you can have stylish usb hub, so your friends can charge their phones xD
This is so disappointing:( sync switched with cue?! Why???? This doesn’t improve workflow over x1mk2 it’s just a different housing with a new logo and a few features that aren’t important for professionals:( NI once was dictating the course in digital DJing and now it feels like NI is struggling to keep the pace.
@@leesinthemix not necessarily. I’m using Traktor for almost 10 years and never use Sync. Very often I’m jamming with cdjs or other audio source where CUE is crucial to properly beat match. I’m not saying sync is not needed, but once you turn it on it stays on, it doesn’t need to be as big as Play…I’m sure a lot of people would agree.
How can they not squeeze the NI Audio 2 interface into this body at the very least? I don’t want to be overly negative… it does look cool, but after such a long wait it just seems an incremental update to the mk2, with key features from the mk1 brought back.
Yay NI users got a mid upgrade after a decade of waiting. It's likely going to be even less useful with other (far better) DJ software. I'm over NI. This was the nail in the coffin for me. Bye bye NI.
@@artisans8521 to be fair, for its niche use case it's pretty great. But that is specifically Traktor users that use Cdj2000 or lower or turntables. It's a pretty small group nowadays, and this controller could have relatively easily been far more adaptable to alot more use cases. I don't know what their release plan is but to lead with this wasn't a good idea, to me this is a legendary control but from yesteryear, and would have been a cherry on the cake to much bigger and revolutionary releases. But this is NI, they'll release some poor stem implementation and some flexible Beatgrids soon and call it gods gift, I betcha.
Why did they introduce a stiff center nudge on the top 8 rotary controllers? They are mainly are for controlling FX-parameters, right. Those run from 0 till 100%. Not from -50 to +50. Illogical and frustrating, when blending in FXs.
NI!!! You are awake.... but this is a bit late ro the party. Not sure why this is relevant. I think this is only useful as a previous gen x1 upgrade, making it easier to use, but no real new innovations. Disappointed
Who will see these LEDs in the club? Light show + strobes or gear on both sides. Sync is overrated, why it's so big. 5 micro displays instead of one good. Mixer mode and USB hub are useful, however, no information about compatibility with mobile app
@@marisbre9314 I meant the words the reviewer used. But I agree with you Native Instruments is out of touch. I personally don't have a problem with them not releasing say a new Maschine (the MK3 seems fine) but the software has seen no real evolution. And when it comes to expansions they don't have a single one for Raggaeton. It's a shame they really were chaning the intdustry at some point.
As Traktor Pro 3 can stream Beatport & Beatsource I imagine these would work seamlessly as it is just a controller rather than a standalone unit. For Tidal I don't believe this would be possible.
While other DJ software/hardware like Serato, Rekordbox, etc have Stems support Ni gives us a X1 Mk3 controller. Yeah, I'm excited...ugh NOT. The products put out such S3, controllers at best is marginal. The S3 has a really disgusting crossfader that you can't upgrade to something better like an Innofader. In a year I have sent back S3 back to Ni support three times and received a newer one each time with the same problem. So, I don't believe Ni makes a quality product at all. This X1, how good is the crossfader on it? The other controllers S2 and S4 if you Google crossfader problems , you will plenty of issue with those as well but at least with the S2, S4 you either calibrate or replace it an innofader. Why don't tNi have this option for all their controllers? Ni is way behind their competitors in software and hardware even with the acquisition of iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx. So sad!😢
@@artisans8521 Yeah, that' doesn't work on the fly like Serato, Rekordbox etc....RipX, LaLal ai, Nuo Stems that's a whole lot work separating vocals, instrumentals , etc per each song.. That's not a practical solution for me.
Can this control 3 or even four decks? It has 4 rotary knobs, shame if there isn't a shift function to control decks C and D. I had to map the MK2 which wasn't terrible, but I lost effect functions doing that.
