You and me both brother... this sound is hauntingly beautiful and captures my state and feelings of nothingness but in a optimistic and comforting tune.
Anyone who sets out from Duluth with a guitar in their hands knows the bar has been set pretty high...but these folks don't let the side down. Play on boys.
Love how in any other video if one were to look through the comments there would be lots of hate and bad mouthing either the music, way of life, or eachother and I just looked through the comments on this one and it's the complete opposite. This band really brings people together and I love them
I am girl and I love Trampled by Turtles and many other talented blue grass musicians; punch brothers, devil makes three, mountain sprout, split lip rayfield....list goes on. Brilliant music should never be looked past especially strings.
You're welcome! TBT is amazing! They're good friends of mine. The 1st time I saw TBT there was only about 25 people in the bar. I knew that 1st night that they had a bright future ahead of them. Nicest guys in the world too!
What a great song! Love it! Had to learn it for a Colorado wedding this week. So glad I did. They want this when the bride walks down the aisle. I figured you guys would dig knowing that. You have a new fan right here too!
I was going to make a stupid comment about how the 4 people who disliked this video were trampled by turtles....but this would be doing an injustice to the song, and the video. These guys are simply amazing!
Try tunnel of love by Dire Straits....or Telegraph Road...or lady Writer...or Skateaway...real musicians real artists....and the best electric acoustic guitarist alive..Mark Knopfler. World famous..no one has heard of these bluegrass hillbillies in Europe and never will...only known at the KozynBar and Last Place on Earth
Saw these guys in concert at a venue where the drunk crowd was so loud I couldn’t hear the band. Would love to see them again to really enjoy the music!!
Reminds me of a nice Tennessee night on my family's land on the river on our dock. Watching the river glisten in the moonlight as the water is just flowing. And warming up with a bottle of whiskey.
Lost the one great love of my life to severe alcoholism. Wonderful lady, amazing human being. She came back a year later to make things right, and I was hammered blaring this song. Sure miss her but this is still great music, sober or not.
Whiskey, won't you come and take my troubles 'Cause I can't seem to do it on my own. In the morning there is hours and infinity The starlit evening's come to take me home. I ain't got a dime in my pocket And I just stepped on my last cigarette But there's a bar downtown that'll give me credit A home away from home, away I went. Tomorrow there's a train to Carolina Tomorrow that's where I'm gonna go Feel the warm sunshine on my shoulders And live my days a free and easy soul. My home is with the hills and trees around me My ceiling holds the moon and stars above So I'll never be a lonely man a'walking I'll never live one day without love. So whiskey, won't you come and take my troubles 'Cause I can't seem to do it on my own. In the morning there is hours and infinity The starlit evening's come to take me home The starlit evening's come to take me home.
Kentucky gent and a good long draw. All I need to finish of the night with this instant classic. More than speaks for all of us late night whiskey philosophers. Cheers to you fellas. 🤙
I actually just went to see them on the 18th at First Ave. in Minneapolis. It seems that whole city knows them. Everyone I talked to in some way. I love that. I also love that a band that hits it big still remembers where they're from. Absolutely love these guys.
Played Harmony Park Geneva,Mn Log Jam maybe 2006 . But they played in a tent late that night. The female that was playing violin was on fire. She was a guest musician. Was a great moment in time.. I will never forget. Welcome Home....Always..

Just found recently and your all special. Love this song. I had travels in my life. This song reminds me of folks I met along the way. Those times were 70s 80s & 90s. Those were the best times.
I've found these guys via OCMS, Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, I gotta say that I'm in love in the biggest way with TxT, just so honest and raw, really speaks to me with what I've been through in life, especially recently...if they ever come to Australia, I'm one ticket guaranteed
I have seen them in concert in Duluth, Minnesota. There is also another band in Duluth called The Underwriters who plays folk which reminds me of Trampled By Turtles.
one thing ive realized, their is really good music out their today, u just really need to look for it, i wish it was like the 60s and 70s where every one knew what good music was, and true artist got recognized, and markdigy im sorry bout ur pal, bosin is in a better place now
ive been sarcastic guys, touchwood, havent been to a rehab and not anytime in future. I just meant how the song has taken over me and that ive been insanely hooked onto it. But thanks guys for your concern, its a lovely community out there.
I am stunned - 20yrs sober and this has me in Tears - Nailed it - We alkies run away My home is with the hills and trees around me My ceiling holds the moon and stars above So I'll never be a lonely man a'walking
I will be seeing you guys for the 7th time in Beech Mountain on Saturday. Please perform this song....Its my favorite and a must when you come to North Carolina!
Yes a great song. Good for me and trying to kill the booze in my life. Damn I love that Blantons. These guys were supposed to play at Mt. Bachelor here in Bend,OR. Damn Covid.
