Loved the tip on getting a second burner. I've been looking at trangia for a while and was unsure whether to purchase or not, but your video fully convinced me it's the right stove for us. Thank you! :)
I have recently bought a Trangia Mini 28 and a 27 set with non stick pans. I am looking forward to using these when camping. I enjoyed your video. Thank you.
In the US, use Denatured Alcohol. Burns clean and you can get it at Walmart and Home Depot. Comes in a Blue can, and its even labeled Fuel. I've had my Trangia since the early 80s and I love it.
Wow that gas burner is 40€ here in Sweden at a store called XXL and all other Trangia are also a lot more cheaper. I just ordered a 25-3 HA with a non stick pan plus, gas burner and a Multidisc 25 for about 165€. Trangia is really the go to stoves here in Sweden even that i got several others of stoves 😊
Nice review. Another advantage of two burners or at least simmer rings is quicker/easier heat adjustments. The first addition I made to my kit was a second simmer ring. To date I have not had issues with running out of fuel mid-cook but most of my meals are straight forward to cook.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Can you explain a bit further what is the exact advantage of the second simmer ring? Are you somehow using two at the same time? Can't really understand how that would be helpful. One ring does good job on flame control already, I think. Unless you mean that you don't need to waste time adjusting the first one, you just take it out and put the second one with a different setting?
@@AliveRoad Your second paragraph describes the advantage of the additional simmer ring. You can make adjustments quickly without fiddling with a hot ring. You don't lose much heat/time in the pot/pan while making adjustments either.
@@rechuckg Ok, that's what I thought. In the video I was specifically talking about the whole burner, but you're right that even an extra simmer ring alone will be helpful.
