Really nice old stadium, full of character and the soul of the club and the feel of belonging is there. I don't fancy much modern football stadiums nowadays, simply too luxury to my liking.
Yeah I totally agree; lots of history, character, heart and soul in a club like Tranmere Rovers. There were so many great stadiums around England that have unfortunately been lost. Highbury, Upton Park and White Heart Lane to name a few.
Yeah interesting point. From what I noticed when I visited, Tranmere Rovers is a community club and have people in the local area working together. Maybe next summer it could be a DIY job to paint the seats white.
Tranmere Rovers are in the Town of Birkenhead, on The Wirral Paninsula opposite Liverpool with The River Mersey dividing us. Our ground Prenton Park was re-developed in 1993 three sides were replaced and our Main Stand/Paddock was updated (that was built in 1968)
@@TheDockraysNice one mate for coming to Tranmere Rovers F.C. From Sao Paolo (Sexy Brazil 🇧🇷 to gritty Birkenhead). What a contrast….!!! Liverpool F.C. come out to 🎶You’ll Never Walk Alone🎶. Everton F.C. come out to the theme tune of Z-Cars, which was a 1970’s series set in England 🏴 about the police. And lo and behold Tranmere come out to the theme tune of The Rockford Files. The actor James Garner is an ex-con turned private detective by the name of Jim Rockford. An American 🇺🇸 drama series based from 1974 - 1980. I hope I didn’t bore you, but you did mention that you was not sure what that is. YNWA Take Care Mate 👍
@@stuartjohnson7967 Hi Stuart, thank you for explaining. I understand now - theme tune of Tranmere Rovers when the players come out. No not boring, very useful and good explanation with the examples of Liverpool and Everton too. I am actually orginally from Blackpool, so Birkenhead isn’t far when I visit home. I currently live and work in São Paulo now though. It was a great day when I visited - open day. I got to experience a true community club here.
