That first survivor was the most common reaction to a zombie apocalypse... Paniked running around until he's out of breath, cornered by zombies and, ultimately, mauled like those zombies before him... Kinda of a sad ending...

TCL isn't Amazon Logistics, it's goverment logistics. Robots don't smash glass, at least not these ones. It's a hardcoded rule of CDDA that ScientistZ and Security GuardZ / Ferals are mutually neutral to all lab robots. Bojutsu is OP as F. Not Niten level, but I remember doing 100+ crits with 17 DMG staff, in 0.G. With 12STR it's better to break grabs, if you don't want to move, 5 attempts it too, but takes less time than moving. TCL is notoriously slow, because it has so many enemies moving around on multiple Z-levels, especially if there's slime infestation in Lab sector (and there usually is). i can't believe you didn't read how your martial art works.... The theme of Bojutsu is that you deal huge dmg immediately after moving, a charge bonus of sorts, if you 5 waiting for Z or attack multiple times your "rolling staff" will fade and you will lose most of MA benefit.

when you're grabbed if you press 5 (turn skip) a few times your chance to break the grab drastically increases so you can have much easier time fighting in melee because grab puts a nasty debuff on your dodge chance so they will hit you much easier and their bite attempt only happens in grab too

Yeeesss. I am really excited for this start! I won't spoil anything but my advice to save your own sanity is to escape as fast as you can. The door card readers tend to get destroyed if you spend too much time here and it becomes real difficult to open the metal doors after that. Also passing time here to rest and heal wounds or to craft takes AGES in real time. Up to five to ten minutes per nights rest in some cases. Other than that, have fun! Looking forward to this :D P.S. You can insert keycards and cash cards into the lanyard!

If you create a new character in a the world you've already played AND using same starting location, then it'll always be the same one, simply because that's how mapgen works: if location already exists, it doesn't bother creating a new one. Maps in Cataclysm are not predetermined, but are generated as your characters explore the world, so yeah.

yep, game gets really slow in TCL due to the game using only one cpu core and TCL being a unnecessarily big place full of all kind of shit

Ah, welcome to my favorite challenge start, tied with the Mansion Escape. This one's tough! I like it a lot more than the basic Lab Escape, though; there's a lot you can do with crawling around trying to find keycards and avoid the worst of it with a rookie character. The only real drawback is how much the place being busy lags the game if you need to rest or craft.

Hey rycon because you were talking about stuns on your weapons, zombies can no longer be stunned in recent experimental. I think they can still be downed but im not certain on that

@@pbsixgun6 devs hate melee players and buff gun players all the time, the gun players are getting all the cool stuff, more ammo, more guns, more everything while the melee players just loose. at least it still works with ferals and quarterstaff got sweap attack so melee is still somewhat usable

Bojustu works best with weapons that have reach attacks. Attacks at one tile range are only pushes and stuns. Reach hits are where the real dmg is at.

how are you planning to get a longstick for a quarterstaff ? i'm sure getting fab to lvl 2 can be done in no time in where you are rn, but the longstick can be annoying to get

assuming the layout stays the same across characters, you should make openings and ways to escape for new characters even if it may be detrimental to the current.
