I’m a few months on T now and the term “second puberty” is so accurate because it’s not just my body changing but my brain is functioning similar to how it did in high school and it’s so weird. But I’m finally getting little bits of facial hair so that’s neat!

After getting through puberty, and then also getting through all my kid’s puberties, I’m still waiting for maturity to happen! 💜

I think we're at the point in our social advancement where we will have multiple "coming of age" moments. We will have a physical one where our BODIES are reaching adulthood and then we'll have a mental one where our MINDS reach adulthood. I also don't think these will happen at the same time/in same order for everyone. Those who go through trans/gender issues are pioneering that mental puberty because they are expanding the social dynamics of our society.
