I rebuilt my 96 Tahoe transmission 21 months ago and it had a 3 gear quick slip for over a year. I figured out from reading blogs that the new spacer plate I put n was the problem. The 3rd apply hole needed to b drill larger. The plate i bought from a trans shop was for a 4 cylinder 4L60e. It has 19,000 miles on it now.
This video series inspires me and also SCARES me like nothing else I know. I want to run out to the local junk yard and pull an automatic transmission and rebuild it. If I do it well my wife might have new found respect for me, If I mess up I' know I'll be in the dog house until this Nation elects a women President.
Thanks you bro, I unmounted the body valve wintout unmont the transmission and I lossed the position of the balls, and even I doubed if I loss a ball. But thanks you I confirm was try ball and the positiion. Gracias amigo, me salvaste. Yo desmonté el cuerpo de válvulas con la caja montada, y tontamente lo desarmé por partes. En el proceso cayeron las bolas y dudé si eran cuatro y había perdido una y que fuesen cuatro, y de paso en los pdf aparece que son 4. GRAAAACIAS
Hello dear man! I am writing to you from Russia. I have a Dodge Nitro 3.7L automatic transmission 42 rle. I lost reverse speed, sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not. please tell me what is the reason for the lack of speed? I will be very grateful to you.
Thnaks . How dou you remove the Rod-Parking SPRAG. I'm stuck in this part and I don't want to force it, I don't want to break it. Can you guide me how to remove it or what steps to follow please.
15 videos so far and I just dont see or understand how a automatic transmission can last 5 minutes with all these parts, O rings, snap rings, plates, bell sprigs and now the valve body with all them holes and channels, all that stuff have to be just right, but then I seen automatics go 300k without failure.......
