Nearly as long as Titanic but 10x better watch. It's a lovely route and 2 trips fills up half of a bus drivers shift.

Also notice how good the roads are compared to down here in Wiltshire, some even get advisory speed limits with countdown markers on the curves. I don't know whether Swindon to Devizes (Stagecoach 49) has been covered yet, but the A4361 from Swindon down through Avebury is a disgrace for an A road!

Definitely not all buses. However, Transdev has got an excellent reputation, with top spec. buses on their long-distance routes.

I'm amazed at how affordable long hauls are ie Edinburgh to Birmingham single under £30, yes it takes longer 10hrs or so, train wants £100 -300 at 5hrs.

Nice ride but kind of demonstrates why long distance bus travel could never beat the train - half an hour to get out of Scarborough! I've watched the Dan Coffey cab ride from Scarborough going towards York and it's probably less than 30 minutes to Malton

I love the B5 to drive joy drive about 20 or 30 but they had power for a 5ltr and still sound nice Much prefer a B9tl but th eons down side is the drivers dash the old Volvo dash was perfect the new one looks and feels cheap and is all laid out wrong imo

To save you reading the whole 'Coastliner' website: Leeds-Scarborough one way £13.50, day return £17.50. £17.50 will also buy you a Daytripper Plus ticket, valid on all Transdev buses in Yorks and Lancs.

Two lads using choice language on the approach to York..... not knowing where the bus is going, hmmmmn. Talking openly about drug dealing? Presumably the bus has cctv...not the sharpest tools in the box.
