Shortcut keys for beginners 1. To join, select all objects and press Ctrl + J. 2. Before going to Shading page, select all objects and then set image Texture. 3. In the Shading page, when you set Image Texture, how to select an object by entering Edit mode is to press an empty area and press Tab or press Ctrl + Tab, there will be a wheel to select Edit mode. 4. How to select an object in Editmode is to click and press L, it will select the trunk of the tree. 5. Press to Uv, then press A S and the number 0. 6. Hi are you able to explain the important's of adding an image texture on the mesh? also, does it matter if you follow these steps as is or can you just set the colors on how you know how to then export it? I am curious to what lets the colors applied on the mesh exported to roblox. Thanks.
I managed to import a balloon from Paint 3D to Blender to Roblox, the only trouble is, my balloon is meant to be blue and red, like me, but it doesn't import the texture
Why in the world would Blender, a highly advanced program for this specifc task, require me to manually import "colors" just so I can color it in a way that makes the colors appear in ANY game engine, when Blender is MAINLY used for those game engines? I don't even care if it works that way. The fact that it makes me have to do such a bizarre roundabout way makes me not want to do it.
Ah yeah, I can get where you are coming from. There are two ways you can do this with roblox; either separate each piece that you intend to be a different color, or use a color map. This is one of the most basic forms of texturing and admittedly is inefficient. This video was intended for simpler meshes with solid colors. There are way more elegant solutions for more complex texturing.
If it says the texture does not work, go in the properties of the mesh then click texture ID, create a new texture and have it set as your color pallet, then it should work. (It worked for me)
@Tottenham Trophy Case First, Select your mesh/meshes. Second, In your "Properties" window select "TextureId". Thirdly, Click "Add Image" and choose the color palette used in Blender, if used.
Nice video, i almost always use materials first and then apply my colors to a color Palette that i make but you reminded me to use a texture Palette with many colors. This will save me much time.
FBX doesn't work for me, and the color won't transfer ( i already have the color on the item i want to import BUT IT WON'T IMPORT THE DANG COLOR THERE IS NO WAY IM THE ONLY ONE DEALING WITH THIS PROBLEM)
@@RomanTheRobloxian i found out its because you need the texture to be an "image" texture which kind of sucks, because you gotta get a pallet and its just a lot of complicated things to get to it.
this is good except when I select the blade of my sword it doesnt show me the "plane" on the colour palette nothing happens like I've done the handle and everyuthing else its just the blade that doesnt show for some reason
Maybe i can help someone a little bit with that. He moved the mouse over the part he wanted to be selected and clicked "L" ( or he selected all and deselected the one he didnt want, but with "L" it is easier) and then he got to the window of the UV Editor and pressed "A" this selects the whole mesh on the UV Editor window. Then he clicked "S" (for scale) and "0" to scale it to 0( so it is just one point) and then he moved it with "G" to the color that he wanted. I hope i could help a little. Also, if roblox doen´t find your texture, just try to upload it manually as a texture.
Maybe i can help you. Here is my answer to another comment. Maybe i can help someone a little bit with that. im making a animation to roblox and i already made the animation but when i change the color if i have selected everything it only gives color to one single piece, is there any fix or do i have to start all over again
Is it possible to make these metallic? I know you can do it in the Shader tab, but is it possible to do this so it’s shiny when I export it into Roblox?
At the very top right of your blender viewer you should be able to see a down arrow next to three spheres. If you click that, you should see an option for colors. Click that and that should resolve your problem
I just want you to know. You have actually ruined my day. All I wanted to do was color a square and you can't even explain how to do that properly. Man said "this will be short" then did an any% speedrun.
I know it´s a long time, but maybe i can help a little. Yes but that takes much longer for models with complex colors like if its a coin with only one color its fine, but if its like a custom character rig then it will take wayyyy too long
Howdy I have to know whether you're a 3d modeller on roblox... I've been looking for a 3d modeller for about a month, please let me know... I need a 3d modeller for my new game on roblox and yes you're getting paid...
If you're still looking. I'd do some stuff (not a whole game just some models) for free if you want. Here's my most recent render drive.google.com/file/d/13KKKbHWlbLoKCtWtzs2bCUi67SOObpSz/view?usp=sharing
@@honeybuilder227b2 the texture dont work, I test everything but don't work and because I just want to import a roblox to blender and export to roblox, I don't have a palet color
