Singare stands at 6’10 and has a slender build, bearing a striking resemblance to Samson Johnson. It's puzzling why his recruiting profile lists him as 7’0, and Reed Jr is not 6’11, he’s actually closer to 6’9 than 6’11.

McNeely cannot play the 2G, he's not quick enough ... This will create roster construction problems for some teams because he can only play the "3" ... Nobody ever talks about his limitations -- NOBODY!

Believe uconn needs to pursue a point guard and DJ Wagner is from Camden and would be a good fit as would the senior starter from Duke
@LockedOnUConn
@LockedOnUConn Месяц назад
Did you watch the show? Dj wagner is a great guard.. but he is an iso scorer first that’s not the offense UConn runs. Jeremy roach is a better fit but he’s not linked to UConn.. don’t think they want another small guard
@BrassCityFilms
@BrassCityFilms Месяц назад
Keep an eye on boogie fland. I see him as a better possibility than Wagner.. we previously offered.. He follows all the uconn players in social media.. He needs to get stronger but he can give uconn 10-12 total minutes at both the 1 and 2 a game.

IU fan here ... McNeely is clearly the best 3pt shooter in the 2024 class and #13 overall according to ESPN ... but McNeely is not athletic enough to play 2G ... But I'll take the tradeoff with IU getting Bryson Tucker, who is probably the best mid-range assassin and ISO man in this class, ranked #20 by ESPN ... McNeely is just another impressionable kid who can't think for himself ... kids like this are putty in the hands of their advisors ... Hey Liam, "call me" when discover how tough the college game really is ... can you do that?
@LockedOnUConn
@LockedOnUConn Месяц назад
Hey man does your team play in 1989 or 2024 cause unless you’re going into a Delorean with Doc Brown, being a mid range assassin is as valuable as t$ts on a bull. We’ll Take Liam.. thanks

@douglascarlson9006 Месяц назад
@@LockedOnUConn Sure you'll take him ... time is running out and what's left if he doesn't commit to UCONN? I've watched lots of video on McNeely and there's no way he'll hit hit even 40% of his 3s at the college level ... The advance scouting and coaching at the college level has become a science ... and the only way to beat science is with athleticism ...

And if UConn is not that good next year, perfectly fine and understandable. I mean, they had an amazing year, and they’re losing everybody. And these things go in cycles, right. No problem. I’m sure we’ll be back at some point.

As a long time huskies fan ( Mike McKay , corny Thompson, tate George, etc. , I am really disappointed regarding the mindset of all three of our players . You can automatically make the case that another year would have brought up the value of each. Seems that there are way too many voices giving bad advice. It would be way too easy to point out all the reasons for these guys to stay another year but the dollar signs mean more than a huge piece of history thar was staring a more enlightened player in the face ! SAD !
@LockedOnUConn
@LockedOnUConn Месяц назад
Thomas, I respect your opinion as they are all valid, but I have to say it's incredibly selfish from a fan perspective. Take each case individually. Clingan is being talked about as a top pick in the draft at least top 5. Steph is being talked about in the top 10. Alex hasn't left yet. He's getting evaluated by the NBA for his grade. Could still return. Every one of these kids dream was in segments. To use their god given talent, parlay that into a scholarship. They did that. They won 2 titles back to back, (Steph with 1) and did so in a TEAM fashion, never shining the light on one individual player. THey now have the ultimate dream right in front of them. To be an NBA player. It's a different dynamic than any career in the world. These guys won't be playing basketball at 40. They have a small window to maximize their playing time and thus increase their net worth over the course of 5-10 years. The average career length of an NBA player is 4.5 years. Only 5% of NBA players last more than 14 seasons in the league. Nearly 60% of NBA players have careers that span two seasons or less. Players on guaranteed contracts average a length of 4.8 years. So you're asking players on the cusp of their dream to play one more year in college, where yes they can make money but can also be subject to injury, public perception where their draft stock drops, and if something happens to them who's going to be there for them, you? Sorry to get on my soap box but, Strike why the iron is hot maybe too simplistic but it 100 pct is what these guys need to do. And I have ZERO doubt that Dan Hurley and company are fine with all of their decisions.

I see why Castle and Clingan left, but of the two, I see Castle excelling in the NBA, with Clingan struggling. Castle has the size, speed, strength and athleticism to produce right away in the modern NBA. Plus he plays defense. He will have to work on his shooting, though. Clingan has to go if he’s being drafted that high. My question is why is he so highly regarded by NBA scouts? I’m not one, so maybe there’s something I don’t know. I loved Clingan at UConn and he was great. BUT, for the NBA in 2024, he lacks quickness, strength or a shooting touch. I get that he’s over 7 feet, but a lot of pros are. There’s nothing about his game that screams “pro.” I hope I’m wrong because he’s a good guy and a great college player. But, all I hear is how Zach Edey isn’t pro material and he dominated Clingan. If Clingan were playing in the 1970s or 1980s, he’d be a prototype center. He’s not that in 2024. I think a team that drafts him in the top 5 will be waiting a while on him. Karaban needs to stay a year. Period. He could be next year’s Tristen Newton. He and Diarra should stay and be captains to teach the youngsters how to be champs.
