Katie. Take the whole summer off. We will be here when you get back. Many of the people I follow take the summer off that is the bonus of having a side hustle like this you should be flexible with it. Enjoy your kids.
1 video a week or 5 video's a week, still my favorite. take some time to enjoy the boys this summer and i promise all your loyal supporters will b right here when you get back. family first always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy your family time! We’ll be here for whatever you feel like posting. Glad you’re making progress on that evil student loan, once I detest a creditor I can’t wait to be done with them! Good news this week, I invested $1000 into our self directed JPM account. I’m working toward closing it and moving everything to self directed, I’m not that confident yet but I’m reading and learning every day so I can get it done and stop being charged management fees for “service” that is beyond lacking. Progress!
Thank you, Laura! I’m definitely ready to kick Mohela to the curb. Yay for your huge investment! 🎉 feed are the worst, especially when you feel like you aren’t even getting any benefit 😒
Great ❤ Video We Payed Off $1533 Captial One Card $217 To Wal-Mart Credit Card. $289 toward witch is 1/3 of the amount owed on another Capital One Card.... Katie i will miss you Rest amd come back refreshed
I hope you enjoy your time with your family. This is a hard balance! I had no idea how time consuming having a RU-vid channel would be. I might have to follow your lead and head your sage wisdom! ❤
Thank you! I honestly enjoy RU-vid so much most of the time, but it can very very time consuming, especially because I do try to watch and support other channels, but its impossible to keep up!
❤ awesome updates. Sorry about the whole employer student loan payment issue. Hopefully, that gets sorted out soon. Thx for the shout-out. Congrats to you and the subbies. You do what you need to do as far as the channel goes. I'm your loyal subbie. Either way. Have a restful week off. Happy July!!!
Yesterday we did a transfer Monday to the credit card following a spendy June. Due to timing and all the things, it was a longer time span and higher dollar amount when we paid all the posted and pending charges this time. But we remain " clear" of any interest charges due on the end of July's statement and at least one day's worth of zero balance.
@@williamwarren9448 We weren't as bare bones budget as we could have been in June but we had some unplanned, higher expense and added expense needs and what we call all but needs. Our cash flowed 2024 Bigger Ticket Item came in with some problems, an added scope, and 3 times the anticipated cost; the anticipated portion came right in/ a kiss cheaper than planned because it was combined with the added scope stuff. Rather than "save" the month's left over gas cash we filled five, 5 gallon gas cans at $3.69/ gal, the cheapest around, and as a hunch against gas going up again; at one of the cheaper stations we actually saw the digital price flip, from $3.99 back up to $4.09 yesterday. But you're right, its harder to pay off 2 to 2.5 week's worth of purchases than 1 week's worth.
Hey Katie! I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having problems with the student loan servicer. I put a principal payment of $715 to our personal loan..woohoo! I also started my July CD for $28.73 ( using the interest from our hys.) We also had to take out 3k from our hys to replace the a/c. 😞
I cant remember who said it about either the Federal debt or a budget package but thier statement was something like: A million here, a million there, and pretty soon you're at a billion. (Obviously from when we counted things in trillions.) $100 here, $100 there and soon you're at $1000. At $100 per week, your babysitting side hustle is bringing in @$400/ month and that's nothing to scoff at; even at your family income and you weren't paying off debt. If over the course of an estimated 6 week summer you bring in $600 to $800, it is enough you will not be able to ignore in your financial goals numbers.
Yes! It all adds up, so even those extra $100 payments to the student loans form the baby sitting are going to make sure a big difference overall! Not only will it help us pay the debt off faster, but it will also save us some money in interest. Win, win! 😄
@@KatieoftheHouse Your Janaury 2024, Fed loan #5 goal was to decrease the balance by about $6k at year's end. Each $100's worth of balance reduction represents 1.6% of the entire year's goal (100/6000). Of course due to the realities of your paydown thus far, you were at a rough $3500 remaining on this goal in May which makes each $100 closer to 3% of the remaining goal; 100/3500=2.8 except each month of other paydown makes it a moving target and 3% is an easy number to calculate with. It does mean that 4 weeks or $400 makes about a 12% dent in what remains of the Jan '24 Fed loan #5 goal. 12% just sounds amazing.
Hi Katie, great transfer! thank you for sharing your time away plans, we do tend to worry about each other when we dont see videos bc were BFFs as Gigi would say lol.
Thank you! I know I always worry when someone disappears without saying anything, so I don’t want to do that. Sometimes I just need a little break though 😅
You should take time off and spend time with your kids to make sure that you don't have a burn out! Make sure that you enjoy! Sigh that Mohela is being a pain! Well done with the transfers everyone! Very good that you had the savings for the bills Amy! My transfers were: Quarterly interest €12,10 and €13,05 to our sinking fund for window replacement. Ugh. Got the quote, man it is way too much money. Need to shift all of our goals and priorities to be able to manage even a part of that quote. 😢 Put €50 to my pension account for 2022. To the EF we put €200 and the weekly interest €8,04. We put €5,73 from change to vacation.
Thank you so much, Sara! Great job saving up for those windows. I’m sorry the quote was more than you were hoping. We recently had a quote for carpet in one room, just to see…nope, we’ll have to wait 😂
Thanks for letting us know! I always get so concerned when people disappear. No one owes us an explanation but I really appreciate not having to investigate when I don’t see folks for a while 😂 I’m also curious to know what kind of activities you’re doing w the boys. I’m always wrecking my brain for ideas!
I’m the same way! I worry about people when they disappear without saying nothing, especially if they are usually consistent. We’ve gone to the neighborhood pool quite a few times already and we’ve gone bowling. I am going to take them to the arcade and to the trampoline park soon this week. The arcade does glad pride on Wednesday, so that’s what we’re planning tomorrow. We are going to continue the going to the pool at least once a week because they love that and it’s free. I also just like playing board games with them and video games like Mario Kart where we can get everyone involved. I have hiking on the list, too, but it’s so hot here that no one ever feels up to it.
I'm all for the summer break! Take the time you need Katie! You know we will be here for you when you return. 3 videos a week IS hard work and you have been super consistent for a really long time. So, yes girl! Enjoy the summer with your beautiful family. I'm happy with whatever you are able to put out... even if ita nothing all summer, that's absolutely fine too. I think most of us here completely understand and we love your content so we will be here when you do post again. 💕💕💕 Enjoy, Katie!
Thank you 🥰 I know I’ll regret not taking the time to spend with them now, so I’m going to make sure I don’t have that regret. I appreciate you being here ❤️
@@KatieoftheHouse Aww thank you! You too friend. So all our transfers to our vacation sinking fund allowed us to have a low financial stress vacation!!! 🌴
