I use this tutorial a lot. So, for future me (and anyone else running into this issue) - this is in regards to Revit 2022, if levels are included in any of the demo, or exist + demo groups coming from the original files, the bind link option will always create new levels. If the levels are not included in the groups, Bind Link works as intended and identically named/matched levels merge!

Do you happen to have a video how to copy in grid markers in addition to the levels?

Hi Emily, When "Binding" you can include the grids. Also perhaps this video can help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ANVOEExQcek.html, otherwise, send me an email with more information specific to what you are trying to do and I can help :)

If I copied a model from template, accidentally put it in non template to create a model group, can I now still link this model group to my templated project? Or I have to transfer project standards to this model group first? Thought the original model was from template, should contain the same data. Cheers

Hi Cathy, You can insert the model group into your project - follow the steps in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VN2JGzUWa_Q.html

Have you ever received an error message during the "Save to New File" step which says "This file name already exists" and doesn't let you save the model info?

No sorry have not. Try to save as the original file with a different name to disconnect it from any back end functions...and then try again. Let me know how it goes!
