Being a Gen X kid grow in ng up with millinials i can say yes, some pf us were lazy minded but a lot pd us were super anti -establishment and very rebellious. A lot of us were didn't want to raise kids as we were raised. So, a lot of us did the opposite which created the gen z generation i have 3 gen z kids 2 are hard working and the other is not lazy but not motivated. I knew kids who graduated and had their life together and we didn't. We still are going through the Messy Middle phase in our lives because we weren't ready we were not taught about finances or anything. We had to learn the hardway. We came from those house holds that spanked with switches and wooden spoons. So, doing the opposite in raising kids made a worse generation, but again not all are bad. If finance and how to ne a proper adult amd more responsible should be taught at the home and extra class at school my school didn't have that. My parents teaching on finance was do chores and get nothing you wamt it you buy it oh you dont have money maybe Christmas or birthday. If you do earm money and buy something with your own money its fine tik it wasn't because you should have saved. At least how it was on my parents house. Should have taught hey you could buy this amd maybe Christmas or birthday we will get it for you of you are still wanting it and you can start sav in ng money so, when you get older you will have money to buy a car or other large purchases or something maybe more achievable but still within teaching to understand. (My apologies kind of rambling incoherently I tired) Maybe we would all be better off. The Gen Z kids I dont like are the whiny -i hate working ..i don't make enough its not fair. .. that I cant stand we are in the same boat wait til you get older. Go back to school Do something else get a skill. I do believe in tough love but it doesn't work for everyone. I made my kids think and do their own homework because i would say let me help you idk what this is..is this chinese or something? They get frustrated and they figure it out and then I would recheck. Sometimes i would guide them, but Made them break it down to fogure it out on their own. Someone also told someone that is was the evil feminists fault that we have to work. No, lady no one told the little girl to work at a dead end job. You can apply somewhere else make more money. Inflation is really nad right now i make 18.00 an hour i still can really afford my apartment. Again, didnt have money coming into the world and worked at federal minimum wage for half my adult life never hadoney to save so a perpetual bottomless pit that is kinda hard to see the light atvthe end. We sont complain and a lot of bad has happened to our family. Which I pray that God has a plan a big plan for my kids Because, theyean more to me than my own life amd that is a sacrifice that has been made not necessarily by choice. God bless everyone.
