Good stuff! Why oh why aren't they getting AI involved with Audition. It blows my mind! Imagine having a 'copilot' of sorts, where we can just ask Audition about where there are possible concerns in the raw file, analyse the clip and suggest chains for the best possible results-edit by finding and replacing words and so much more. It's mind-boggling. Hope it's in the works. Thank you for the video Mike. 👍
I used the enhance feature on two live interviews I did adjacent to the exhibit floor of a recent conference using two high-quality lavaliers. Audio that was marginally useable became nearly studio quality. BLOWN AWAY
Hey Mike! Thanks for the video! I think this feature is amazing but I have been testing it out, and I notice that the enhancement takes very long. Is that the case for you too? I have a 4 min video whose speech I am trying to enhance and it's been taking ages for some reason. I think it shouldn't be the case, so I am wondering if I am doing anything wrong. Does that happen to you too? Have you got any tips on this? Thanks so much!
Hey there! I'm glad you found the video helpful. The enhancement process can take some time, especially for longer videos. One tip to speed it up is to try reducing the sample rate and bit-depth of your audio file before applying the enhancement, as it can reduce processing time. Let me know if that helps!
I travel a lot and am trying to get a minimalistic as possible. Even though I make a lot of videos (other channel) and run a podcast, I'm considering getting rid of my good microphone, switching to a lapel and just processing it all through AI for the same quality-mic effect without the extra weight. Thanks AI!
I have been using Enhance from the website, and have had good results often. It's getting better as the beta AI learns, and the Premium access lets you adjust the strength, which helps. But I almost always EQ afterwards, because it adds too much low end. While I love your videos and have learned several things, I'm disappointed in your results. I thought the audio ended up sounding artificial. Did you not care about the artifacts? My hope is that in a real life project, you would do a lot of clean-up on the quality of the audio.
You make a fair point. I could easily spend time fine tuning with EQ and compression and the high end tends to go leaving a boomy sound. I do care about artifacts but this video was mainly focused on showcasing the new feature.
@@MikeRussell Do you know if using graphic equalizer on top of parametric eq will decrease quality of sound? For when I tried using both I got a sound I preferred over only using parametric, but I don't know if the sound will be of lower quality. Maybe I'm just not good enough using parametric since I can't achieve the same with only that
Absolutely, Adobe's Enhance Speech AI tool can definitely help improve the quality of your band recordings, even if you're just starting out with mixing and mastering!
Audition? Audition, hmmm yeah it rings a bell. Oh yeah Audition!! I'm not sure if that department still exists but we could go down to the basement under the basement and see if anyone's still there 😟 Come on Adobe, make Audition great again.
@@MikeRussell Absolutely Mike! I've been using it since Cool Edit. I love audition, I'd just like to see Adobe give it more attention and really push some boundaries. The upgrades to Ps, Ai, Ae, Pr have been impressive over 2 or 3 generations, but Audition across 3 generations is relatively unchanged.
