You are such an amazing person, teacher, inspiration! Your dedication to help others to be in better health through breathing is inspiring and essential in our crazy world. Thank you so much.
I'm enjoying these videos connecting the dots between trauma and our breath and fascia etc. Just one bit of feedbac:, there's a lot of spiritual bypassing in these ideas of ego versus soul. What new age spirituality calls the ego is simply a traumatized nervous system that is stuck in fight or flight. Pop spirituality unfortunately denigrates the ego while elevating the soul.
Hi there! It's different for everyone. Listen to your body. It will tell you if you can do more or need to do less. Time of day is also personal preference. You can do it any time of day.
I saw your video and started to do exercises for my belly for 7 days now and I noticed that the skin or facia under my ribs, in the middle line of my belly, became so thick that I can’t put my fingers under my ribs anymore ( I could do it before) and I feel like it’s more difficult to breathe. Why this is happening, can I continue or did I do something not right? I started to do it because my belly is divided ( contracted) by a fold in the waist area above the navel, and it looks like my belly is below the waist. I used a towel and I laying on my belly for around 10-15 min daily. I also felt pain during the exercise , is it normal? Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi there! Some discomfort in the belly position is normal. It's not something that people normally do, so when you do it for the first time it can feel odd. You need to trust your breath. If you are breathing normal, then you are feeding and healing your cells. If you catch yourself holding your breath, you may need to lessen the intensity on the block/towel. When we do this work we are wringing out our cells of toxins, so you will want to make sure to hydrate well in order to flush them out. You may have slight inflammation as well. This will go away as you continue to do the work.
@@ce311 Are you an expert? If so, thank you. I’ll pass that on. If not, I’ll wait for a response from the person who puts out the videos 🙏 It would make sense to me that it isn’t safe but will wait for response.
Hi there! There are no contraindications for blocking and ovarian cysts. In Block Therapy we teach that your breath is your guide. This means if you try the position and you can comfortably breathe, then all is fine. You are feeding and healing your cells. If you try it and you find you are holding your breath, you may need to lessen the intensity. Maybe try it on a soft surface like a bed. You will know if you need to avoid a position by your breath. If you would like, you can check out our Block Therapy Community facebook page to see what others are saying on the subject.
