well to be fair it has a lot of good parts , the unicron battles , how hot shot grew, the mini scavenger arc, sideways, thrust betrayal, optimus doubts at the end, smokescreen death and revival, wheeljack story with hot shot

I like how in the Unicron Trilogy had so many combiners. Like Optimus combining with Jetfire or Overload. Or like half the transformers in Energon. I wish the newer transformers cartoons would do that too

That’s powerlinking, the term combiner is used to refer to a specialized team of transformers, which in the Unicron Trilogy only exists 3: Superion Maximus, Bruticus Maximus and Constructicon Maximus

if one were really to get into specifics the three maximus teams don't count as combiners in the traditional sense since the energon cartoon depicts them as one entity controlling multiple bodies

@@gmdexcillion3521 well combiner control has been depicted by many means, G1 have one shared personality but many are flawed, some others related has the team leader control, Unicron Trilogy with 1 mind control all component both on and off combiner and most recently individual limb control. But the maximuses are still called combiner due to having specialized design

This theme song is my childhood, watching transformers armada and seeing the battles unfold between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Heck, when the theme kicked in during the action you knew things were going to be hype. To this day when this theme starts, I always hear Optimus Prime say "Optimus Prime, Super mode". In short Transformers Armada was my jam when I was a kid and I still hold it in high regard as the series that introduced me to the world of the transformers

Even though Animated and prime have superior writing I still (like you) hold it in high regard as the show that introduced me to (with legacy being multiversal) the multiverse of the Transformers. By the way can’t wait for the new Voyager Starscream.

When I think of Transformers, only two themes come to mind. The G1 Cartoon theme, and the Theme of Transformers Armada. What I would give to have another Transformers series with the art style of Armada.

I still remember watching this as a kid and getting hyped when Optimus and jet fire combined! Megatron looked badass as the tank, loved the mini con power ups. AND loved as always hotshot and red alert who needs their earned glory on the big screen!

One of my first introductions to Transformers. Rarely go back to it simply because the dub mistakes are so cringy at times, but I will forever have a soft spot for it and the Mini-cons that I tried so hard to collect as a kid.
