Theres actually a fan kit that perminantly removes the partsforming aspect of the figure. It costs around 15-20 bucks, and turns a figure that was alright to borderline perfect.

Right?! The last TakaraTomy MP I got was Sunstreaker and I think I paid just over $100. I think it was excessive but worth it in the end as he's one of my favorite characters and with all the engineering that went into the design, he looks awesome despite having a hefty backpack. I have the original MP Bumblebee and after seeing how bad the 2.0 turned out, I still fail to see why they needed to update him instead of giving fans a different character. The only issue I have with the original is the gaps in the forearms which is a design flaw that is unforgivable on an MP figure. I think someone sells fillers on Shapeways so I can at least cover those gaps.
