@@QuestionableLogic_ one of the only few that aren't born decepticon was Soundwave and based on his design and other lore he was most likely a senator and then defected to the decepticon cause
And the Decepticons aren't technically Autobots they're Cybertronians who became dissatisfied with the Autobot High Council, seeing them as corrupt and sought change on Cybertron but their leader Megatron became power-hungry, bent on gaining power to rule the universe.
For real we do need a sequel for devastation so we can have more autobots playable and beat corrupted nova prime or probably trying out a playable decepicon if the second game comes out.
@@KhangPrimal no it was unicron the proudstar files state that they were shocked to see a planet similar to cybertron while there gathering supplies the crew feels an invasive presence like they are being watched after that the crew state they have changed but with nova having the biggest change of all
@@KhangPrimal this isn't IDW Nova. That Nova is an asshole expansionist, whereas the Nova in this game appears to be genuine in his efforts to peacefully cyberform uninhabited worlds and bring life to the galaxy, at least until they stumble upon Unicron.
See it depends on what version of Nova we're talking about. The IDW comic book version was dubious to say the least. The version of him in this video game is more of a good guy like the G1 cartoon Autobots. So he pretty much had a clean slate up until Unicron's darkness influenced him into going all dark horse.
This game is connected to the G1 cartoon. Optimus said that the evil that corrupted Nova Prime was destroying worlds and heading towards Cybertron. That evil was Unicron as he had turned Megatron into Galvatron, and headed to Cybertron while seeking the destruction of the Matrix, relic of the Primes.
It is an incomplete game (sadly), a sequel was planned but during the making of the sequel, activision lost the rights and license to transformers, hence the cancellation of the second game
Everyone:talking about Unicron and who corrupted Nova Prime Me:laughing at the fact Optimus without hesitation shot the control panel just to get the lift to work
I know it's a 3 year old comment, but damn that still applies to basically all characters that appeared outside of IDW as well. I saw many people talking like how aligned continuity Whirl is the same war criminal as IDW whirl, as if no other interpretation of that character can exist.
Look here at these Logs this will explain how Nova Prime & the crew became corrupted & how the Proudstar crashed on Earth Proudstar log 0000040918 -- Kranix -- “We set down on a planet that had no need of Cyberforming, but did offer us supplies we desperately needed for ourselves. It was shocking to see another planet so like Cybertron itself. It was as if Primus' hand had shaped the planet. There was no smaller life to speak of, but something must have given the planet shape. We took the supplies we needed, but while there, we all thought someone had their optics on us. There was--I don't know--a sense of invasiveness there. And it has been two cycles since we left that planet and something has changed. In Nova Prime most notably. His confidence is still there, but it's changed. He appears to be driven more and more each passing cycle by his own ego--not the righteousness of our mission, but his determination that he is right, and that the work must be done. I fear for where we are headed now and I truly do miss my home back in Tagon Heights on Cybertron. There, we worked and lived. A simple life, but a good one. We've come a long way from Lithone. Back themn, changing the planet's core and injecting it with enough raw Ore-13, there was a sense of pride and righteousness in our hard work. But now, lost in the darkenss of space, we are all succumbing to urges we never thought we'd have.” Proudstar log 0000110128 -- Kranix -- “It has come to this. Most of the crew has been infested with whatever has taken hold of Nova Prime. They have turned their back on our mission, and I am the last one. They know I will not allow them to Cyberform any more inhavited worlds. They know I will try to stop them, even if it means scuttling the ship. But there is a way that I might be able to survive. There is a shuttle. It can't take me back to Cybertron, but perhaps to one of the planets we have seeded. Perhaps I could live out the rest of my days in peace. The horror of what I have seen, the destructive power of both this ship and that planet we landed on. Nothing has been the same since we landed there. I have programmed the ship's navigation to crash the next time the Ferrotaxis is activated. I will attempt to escape, if I can. But my odds are not good.” Proudstar log 000001102 -- Kranix -- “This is it. We've come across a planet hardly worthy of us even attempting to Cyberform. It'll take too much energy to convert all that mud and rock and water to a planet Cybertronians can inhabit. But what's worse is that their is lfie there. Plant life and what appears to be some kind of intelligent life--not mechanical, but something else. It's glitch-inducing to look at, to be sure, but that doesn't mean it should be destroyed. My trap is set, when Nova Prime and the others fire up the Proudstar's Cyberforming protocols, we'll launch into the planet's surface. This will only work if Jhiaxus doesn't find my hidden commands in Teletraan Alpha's operating system. He's the only one smart enough to find them. But hopefully he will be too late and I'll be on a shuttle. I've chosen to try to make it back to Lithone. It should be well formed by the time I arrive and that was the last planet where I remember us all feeling truly proud and happy. I could use that feeling again now... Oh, no. The Cyberforming else on Cybertron are enacted. I have to get to the ship. It's my only chance!” The Planet he mentioned wasn’t a Planet at all. It’s as just as I feared: Unicron, The Chaos Bringer had purposely gave them the supplies they must’ve been contaminated by his blood known as Dark Energon. So what Shockwave told the Autobots back on Cybertron was true. Nova Prime would’ve known it would be the Chaos Bringer if he had the Matrix of Leadership with him, since the Matrix originated from the Core of Cybertron. A portion of The Spark of Primus himself. Without the Matrix’s power to Shield him from Unicron’s influence Nova Prime had become his pawn & all those worlds that were Cyberfoarmed Unicron consumed them one by one to grow more powerful.
@@novustalks7525 The game is set in the G1 continuity not the IDW one, specifically it's set sometime before the events of the 1986 movie, so it would be Unicron and not the Dead Universe. And it wouldn't be the Dead Universe because it's a universe, not a planet like Unicron.
Considering even before corruption by Unicron, Nova Prime in comics was an imperialistic fascist who believed that Cybertronians stand above other life forms in a Galaxy... Yikes
It would be cool if all 5 of them fought him at the same time and switched between them when fighting him and it ends with them combo kinda like The final GOW bosses
@@raazaqandraaz it's Unicron. The files on the ship describe them discovering a world that looked like Cybertron. not to mention Optimus described that this being is bent on the destruction of the Cybertronians in particular (Which is one of the most consistent things about Unicrons character: his desire to destroy Primus and his children.)
