$55 as opposed to $500 and it looks good in both modes without requiring an engineer's degree to either transform it or pay for it. So you can definitely call this a budget masterpiece

I really'd love to see size differences with the Core Class Optimus... I want to start a Transformers collection but a little bit cheaper, so I want to see which figures can scale well with Core Class, like Grimlock
The back half of his head is molded in red and painted metallic blue. Over time the red will start to show on the horns. I recommend swapping heads with the Siege version.
It's an amazing piece, I have it for a while now. Detail is excellent as well as build quality. It's not easy to remember all transformation steps but they are carefully thought. One minor flaw I found is that there are 2 small blue flaps in the legs, supposingly to open as last.move when changed to truck. But if you do the truck doesn't sit properly. If you don't you really cannot tell it's missing sth
There actually is a port on the old war for cybertron Optimus. Where his knee is there are two little panels that come up during transformation or at least that are supposed to. The left knee has the port.
I want to design and 3D print an adapter for Titans Return Hot Rod so he can hold this guy’s matrix. It would be a great centerpiece for my (honestly pretty small) collection.
One of my favorite Transformers, happy to have him in the collection but I wish he came with Roller. Im just a little disapointed that mines came with a wheel that's missing silver paint

I used to have transformer toys here in the Phillipines from toy kingdom or toys R us and I literally have to find out how to transform them like, wth why not just come with instructions
Damn I saw this figure at wal mart today and chose star scream over this 🙄. I regret it. This was at least the only toy that was not hella expensive that carries the matrix of leadership in the chest
Hmmm. I think I'll stick with the Siege version; he's a less clean looking figure with more obvious kibble but I just like the overall look better, especially the chest windows and the groin area. Siege is the Optimus I wish I had when I was a kid and this... is close but no cigar. Plus I'd have to pay almost double the usual price to get the trailer which, whilst a nice nod to the G1 figure, I don't have space to store or display.
You're fashionably late to the game Shart. I already got mine, customized it, stickered it with a sticker set from Reprolables, and replaced that dinky trailer with a customized rebuilt Generation 2 trailer with working sound box. It raised my Earthrise Prime from, "It's so awesome!" to "BETTER THAN SEX!" LMAO!
I am really excited for the arcee the one that I have is from fans toys and holy crap is it a mess and they gove you so many addons that are sexual I had to return it that just wasn't arcee for me
