Transformers Kingdom Voyager Class Inferno Review 

This inferno is really a quality release given it's a retool.

I am disappointed that he did not pose inferno carrying red alert just like in that one g1 episode

Grapple was a bit of an ‘egg-yolky’ lump of plastic but the colours really pop on this one! And I’m glad they’ve addressed the peg problem too- the QC was a bit of a joke with Earthrise. Great review Prime, you hit all the points I wanted to hear about! 👍

LOL, this is the figure I'm currently most looking forward to the most - plus Gen Selects is hopefully going to give us an Artfire.

I've been waiting for this guy, but I'm glad I didn't get Grapple now. They really should have done a bit more remolding to set these two apart as they are almost a repaint with just different heads. I think even as little as a different chest/cab piece would have made an enormous difference.

I'm skipping this one and ER Grapple. I really like the Classics version, I have the Artfire exclusive too. Thanks for the review PvP!!!

Thanks for another great review! I was a little bit cold on this figure but I'm glad to see it turned out so well! I don't like that the lights on the front are simply silver, and I wish the legs had more black or silver, but they don't look as bad as I was imagining. I think I might have wait until I see him for a nice price, (as I already have Grapple) but if I hadn't already picked up this mold I would have gladly purchased Inferno.

I guess I'm in the minority but Inferno here is one of my most anticipated figures in this line. Looks great!!

Yeah this figure should have been a generations selects and the kingdom spot given to beast wars inferno, but hey thats just my personal opinion.

I wish they weren't adhering so rigidly to cartoon scale for robot mode, he's way too tiny in vehicle mode. I kind of hope a slightly oversized KO gets made, otherwise I'll have to go with the earlier Universe version.

I still like the Earthrise Grapple, but this Kingdom Inferno's clearly a definite improvement, especially in the case of the peg to foot attachments in the vehicle mode. :)

I just found Inferno (and Dinobot, which I pre-ordered from Target already) at a couple Wal-Marts today stateside, and I'm very happy they fixed some of the gripes I had with Grapple's mold. I've been watching leaks and rumors and there may be GS Artfire in the future with this mold, though I hope that if that's the case, there will also be a GS Ricochet using the SS Jazz mold, that way I don't have to get the Ricochet based on PotP Jazz. I'm not happy that the Prime Wars figures don't scale very well with the WfC figures.

I got that card with Huffer, too. So they seem to include new motives for the actual cards in wave 02. I really like this one and it's especially nice that Optimus is the same motive on both the cover/foil and actual card but with different backgrounds. And this Inferno wouldn't fit into the Selects line as it has more retooling than just its head. But we'll get Artfire in the Selects line what I'm really looking forward to. But I prefer Grapple's claw over Inferno's new accessories.

A pretty cool Inferno. Now I can put up my Energon one. I do hope we get the BW inferno in the late wave of Kingdom.

I was today years old when I realized that Roadblock from TF Energon was really Grapple. Hence why in that filler episode both "Infernos" showed up.

i prefer inferno over grapple in my opinion

Great review man! I have Inferno on order ever since they made preorder available for him. I too had Grapple and his rear pegs snapped and jammed in his feet. I took him back and got my money back. Having seen your review with him next to Inferno I’m kinda thinking I’ll pick another up and just shave those pegs. The two of them look awesome together.

He is easy to transform! And sturdy!!

No matter if it's Earthrise or Kingdom, I will always call them G1 figure.

I got grapple but was super peeved with those pegs breaking off, so that being fixed on top of the beautiful shade of red is really making me consider getting him

I want this so much, don't really like beast wars. So the only figure I going to buy for now is the warpath and this inferno,glad it's not a generation selects as those are impossible to find here

i thought the mold was meant more for this figure rather than grapple, and this and cyclonus are actually 2 of the figures i was most excited to get more than the BW characters... glad they fixed the pegs that tab onto the feet, but knowing my bad luck with hasbro, i'm sure i'm going to get a defective product yet again well done as always bro 👍🏻😀

Great review, I will be getting one - thanks for helping me decide. One question, will you be sanding down those pegs? I had a peg get very distressed before i ended up sanding them all down on Grapple.

I really like this mold. I didn't think I would but it's super possible and you can add a weaponizer

I remember the original G1 Infernal and Grapple had really fickle head pieces. A lot of friends had those figures with missing heads cus it would often break off during transformation.

I just got this guy on a whim at gamestop for sale and I'm very happy I did.

When he becomes available that's definitely the one for me as I love fire engines.

Can't wait to get this and BW inferno from Legacy.

I was wondering about the peg issue that Grapple had and if it carried over to Inferno. The very first time I transformed Grapple to vehicle mode and back, one of the pegs got stuck and broke off. Really disappointed me as I really loved the look of Grapple. Hopefully I can get another one. If I see this Inferno in the wild, I will get him.

As always great review. Though i am not a fan of G1 i must admit that like '94 i have this Transformer and he transforms very similar to this model, especially in the head area. Nice to see that i might got him again after do many long years. 😉 Hovewer i like more movie Sentinel Prime if we talk about fire truck Transformers.

My grapple from earth rise broke when I was transforming him and the part that broke was the peg it is now lodged in the leg but everything else works except that one part

My childhood trauma. Our neighbor who has this toy store, came to our house in a holiday time and bring some gifts, wrapped of course.And I thought that is INFERNO! He knew I was watching it everyday behind the glass of the store. And nope! It was a cologne. F..king Turkish Lemon Cologne (I am Turkish btw). And that moment was a trauma moment for a 8 years old boy. But now i am gonna buy this as a 40 years old man, and f...king play with it!

Has pulse sent me this figure because the pistol that came with my Cyclonus was broken (they had no more Cyclonus to replace). I absolutely love this figure. I liked him in G1 and this is very accurate.

I didn't realize Kingdom was meant to be a beastwars line...I do agree that this release of Inferno would have made more sense in the classics or generation selects line. Btw TFSafari has a gap filler kit for him. I ordered one and will probably do a quick review of it.

I'm more excited for this then any of the ones coming out I dont know why I just feel like he's one figure that really needed in update after potp inferno and I was ok with grapple but inferno just looks so so incredible and I just want him

I kinda hope he ends up being a bit of a shelf warmer so I have a good opportunity to actually get one. I never agree that anything should be a generations selects since that usually means it'll be hard to get and be unreasonably expensive in the after market.

while i like bw inferno more than g1 inferno, im glad this got made. i dont like the old generations inferno, and didnt get the cw one. so this one is very welcome

I absolutely love them giving us G1 Inferno but I do agree, kingdom should of been beast wars inferno and G1 inferno should of been a generations selects or amazon thing.

Well, it seems that Kingdom - not including the Fossilizers - is more focused on perhaps *early* season 1 of Beast Wars...since ol' fire ant Inferno was later on, who knows? Besides, that doesn't seem like a mold that they could easily retool or repaint into somebody else. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

I remember in the 80s I cant afford to buy a G1 Optimus Prime but instead I had Inferno as my Autobot Leader. Need to get this one!

I’m a fucking genius. I just realized that hasbro probably didn’t release inferno in gen selects because they might recolor him into artfire for Gen selects which would allow them to also make battle master Nightstick to come with artfire like how he did for the G1 Japanese toy and in the WFC universe they could have that nightstick be the same as Cyclonus’ targetmaster partner and have it be like he defects to the decepticons. It’s an absolutely genius way for them to 1. Make more money out of the mold 2. Give us another modern obscure character in Gen selects 3. Make battlemaster nightstick since they haven’t yet, and 4. Have a way to release a battlemaster nightstick since they’re done with battlemasters in kingdoms

Glad they painted his helmet black, I thought that was overlooked for grapple

I think that beast wars Inferno will maybe introduced in the next g1 inspired line like g1scorpi knock and beast wars scorpi knock

Not sure why you think this needs to be released in Generations Select. He is a main character and not a repaint. Perhaps, Hauler or Art-Fire could be released in Generations Select. I don't recall Hauler ever being in G1 either.

I hope we get this in New Zealand
