It'd be strange if we didn't get Superion next, considering how the Aerialbots and the Stunticons were always rivals. Hoping if they do Superion next, he can live up to this amazing new combiner.
@@jasonswitzer1748 Well logistically speaking turning a Fire truck into the torso is workable even if they cheat and go for a RID style separated robot from the front end & part of the ladder alone and the back end is all combiner kibble. Commander Class Silverbolt might be proper strange though they could go for a smaller robot that fits in the shell of the combiner parts and the shell comes off and makes a base and legs parts maybe. Such a design would be rather close to being a pretender in concept though & it might even end up with having two jet modes too. I think Bruticus would be the easy and popular choice they might go for though. We also have to consider the alt mode question too ; The Combiner wars alt modes kinda sucked and doing that again would feel like a waste of everyone's time much as Legacy Breakdown feels like a waste of everyone's time too.
I'm hoping any future Combiners manage to retain their third modes from the G1 toy like Motormaster got(For context, all of the Torso Bots from the G1 Scramble City Vehicle Combiner teams had a Base/Emplacement mode that they could go into. Motormaster turned into a base, Silverbolt became a runway, Onslaught became a small base with a cannon, Hotspot transformed into a repair turret, and Scattershot's altmode was a rocket cannon).
My cousin was disappointed when he bought Shadowstrip and it doesn’t work on any of the limbs but Dragstrip’s, but he eventually told me it was okay because “Someone needs to man the kibble” :D
He didn't have an "insectoid gun" in the series, a third party company just had the gun for their Menasor able to turn into that insect, which was a plot device in one episode of the G1 cartoon. It was just an accessory that could transform into another accessory

he also had the gun in tf devastation, I know that's a modern game, but every single gun that platinum put in the game had at least come up somewhere else in tf media, and menasor's cyclone gun, I think it is called, I'm pretty sure came from g1
Will the knee/thigh connectors not slide in to place backwards? Might be better than rotating the whole waist. Really hoping we get an upgrade kit to allow front facing cars on the leg.
Makes you realize how Menasor was a combiner was always one of the weaker ones since it's mainly Motormaster with the others as armor bits rather than limbs.
Yeah even in the game Transformers Devastation when you first fight Menasor it shows the cars attach to Motormaster's limbs before suddenly turning into full fledge limbs. That's why while i understand the complaints and negative views people have towards this Menasor, for me personally, i'm fine with it.
for the extra trailer part, I think best solution would have been if they put a couple of extra pegs on Motormaster's arms and/or back wheels in order to connect it on Menasor's back and give him a more squarish/toy accurate look. Not that I complain about the turret (in my headcanon it's the superweapon the Stunticons were building for Megatron in Masquerade) but they could have given us the option.
It's nice that Hasbro/TakaraTomy opted to make Legacy Menasor very G1-toon accurate to how he combines. He's aint no Scramble City combiner, which works in his design's favour.
Menasor combines like all the others about half the time, and the canon combination is as a scramble city combiner, as shown in the Japanese Scramble City short & the G1 toy.
finally someone says something that makes sense, everyone asking for combiners that are not perfet, but are ok, or asking for the same, but to be fair COMPUTRON WAS a pile of SH...!!!! i SUPPORT YOU ON THAT ONE WE NEED A NEW COMPUTRON!!!!
He looks MILES BETTER than any previous official combiners, save maybe for Devastator (he's still too big for current CHUG). That pose seals the deal 6:22. Looking forward for the DNA upgrade video!
@@PrimeVsPrime iirc, CW Devastator was designed to be in scale with Masterpiece. Individually, they are ridiculously big compared to even their line mate, let alone current CHUG (WFC)👍
Great review! Agree with your thoughts these guys are a must have! I took your wing option a step further and folded them in a little more and plugged the gun piece in the two top holes on one side for a shoulder cannon. And then took the extra gun that hides under breakdown and added that as an extra gun to the top of the new shoulder cannon.
At first I wasn't too big on getting this set because I like my combiners to be Titan sized like Devestator but damn. He looks so good. Maybe I drop money on him if they release him as a bundle.
Future me: hey there Obitworkenobi Primevsprime realsed a video and said that Hasbro is releasing the stunticons in a big bundle and are making them accurate to the g1 show. Thought I'd tell you
I'm surprised I've seen no pictures of people comparing him next to Superion considering thats who his rival is. I'm keen to see since I've got the PE add on for my unite warriors set and I want to know how well they scale
I got this figure and was BLOWN AWAY by the engineering marvel that this toy is. A lot of your points are very fu*king nit picky. This guy is amazing, solid and beautiful! I wasn't expecting it to be half this good!
Great look at Legacy Menasor PrimeVsPrime!!! As great as it is, I'm a little disappointed that the limbs are not interchangeable, which means that Menasor is no longer a scramble city gestalt combiner. :P That said, since I have Motormaster, Wildrider, and Drag Strip in my collection already, I will still get Dead End and Breakdown to complete the combiner. lol Keep on being amazing.
I think he looks absolutely fantastic! I agree 100% on this figure's flaws being his weapons and the extra piece that has nowhere to go. Outside of that, I love how close to animation accuracy he looks, and how much of a freakin brick he feels like. On my shelf, it's hard to lie and say he's not the one one who grabs my attention the most on my Decepticon shelf due to his sheer presence. My Dead End and Breakdown preorders can't be released fast enough!
Saw that Menasor/Devastator comparison, and all I can think is "Titan Class Motormaster and Leader Class Stunticons", as well as "Five Leader Class Dinobots that combine into Titan Class Volcanicus." Wishful thinking, I know, but still.
I've bought G2 Dragstrip aka Shadowstripe so far. I've cut down on Transformers A LOT. I'm a 80's kid and grew up with transformers. However I mostly get G2 homages now.
It can unfold and attach to Menasor's back, giving him Dinobot style wings. It's a great way to store it, and doesn't hurt his giant robot form at all, since it is mostly hidden from view by his arms.
I want it so bad. Only Problem is that here in germany, breakdown will release only next february and dead end in Januar + Motormaster ist more than a 100 Euros
Watching this definitely has me looking forward to completing Legacy's Stunticons (still only have Dragstrip, and hoping to get Motormaster and Wildrider around the holidays). And then, as I've mentioned before, I'm also getting Offroad and Brake-Neck from Combiner Wars for the G1 Stunticons to have new recruits, just like how they did it with Combiner Wars. Sure, the hand/foot guns as feet gets rid of ankle tilts, but I'm sure I'll work something out, even if I have to find previously used Menasor upgrade kit feet to do it. Actually PrimevsPrime, I should have asked this in your lastest community post (at this time), but I didn't think about it: is it possible to put Combiner Wars figures in front of the legs by putting the combiner port in the hollow rectangle holes in Menasor's legs if you don't attach Legacy Breakdown and Wildrider to the back of the legs?
@@maciejas2471 Oh, trust me. I know. I'm gonna use Brake Neck from Combiner Wars as a relative to Wildrider (like a brother). And besides, using only one Combiner Wars limb as a leg would make Menasor stand unevenly without getting him into a dynamic pose or using another CW limb as a leg.
I think the next thing me should be Bruticus. I know there are rumors that they’re doing a FOC version, but a remold with the same engineering should be easy to knock out imo than a whole other combiner like Superion.
I just used a bit of floor polish on my leg comnections and they are SOLID. I can move the legs just fine and honestly, the leg engineering really helps with solidity.
@@PrimeVsPrime while i'm here... 1. For Motormaster, hold the gun upside down and in both hands, it shows the detail and makes it look more like a giant Cannon. For Menasor, peg it into Dragstrip's arm, combine his and DE's guns and put them on DE. 2. I like to use the leftover piece as a Lightning Rod by flipping up the stand bit, like Menasor uses it to charge up his lightning attacks.
Omg cant believe that i agree with every single one of your thoughts. I even loved your invention of the giant wing! Will definitely grab one, will look so cool with my bla bla commander( forgot the name) combiner optimus. In my country these toys are like 5 times more expensive due to economy(turkey) but i have to buy this although i am tight on budget. It is so great that it doesnt necessarily need other stunticans to form menasor and it is a whole set as a truck, base, robot and giant robot!

At this point, I feel that Hasbro and DNA designs work together and get that much more money from us. When every transformer comes out and DNA can come out with a few pieces that make it so much better, it's a cash grad at this point. That or Hasbro needs to step their game up for the prices they are charging now. You can get a 3rd party quality figure for close to the same price when you add the DNA kits into the price.
2:20 me too I hate there's no color on the legs it's just gray I thought it look bland but I actually start liking it but I still prefer the cars on legs facing front, it adds colors on them
Honestly I can still say that the CW version of Menasor still holds up after all these years. This current version I don’t like it all that much in combined mode but having them as a group looks way cooler
Yup. I still have CW Wildrider and Breakdown abd upgrade feet for Legacy Motormaster's legs as I think the CW figs are pretty stellar despite not being as accurate.
The combined mode arm falling that happened on mine with with the left arm. You need to open it up and adjust the ratchet to fix it. I opened mine up and did that and it's tighter now. Still though there QC needs to be better for spending $80 on Motormaster there should be better QC.
@@PrimeVsPrime no problem. When I received it and noticed that I opened it up to see if the ratchet was broken or if it was worn down and defective. It looked perfectly fine to me I think mine might have been backwards.
I waiting on the last car! lol Im looking forward to complete my set! Part of me don't like few things, but using the trailer as the skeleton for a solid figure wasn't a bad idea. Pro con but over all... I love it!
