Kup is the oldest bot running around besides Alpha Trion. So it's ideal to use him as the proto-autobots before any organized resistance against the Decepticons. So Kup's the 1st generation utility bot's alt mode template. They should had included a trailer full of Energon, maybe like a dozen cubes. That's a cool scene with all 3 of them revolving around Vecta Sigma.
The fact that kup is so old and can still kick ass also proves that his body type can stand the test of time and is super durable. It's the perfect protoform mold for labor bots like Dion and Orion
@@quickshot112 beast wars did. beast wars uprising however was published during the 2010's by botcon back when that existed. it's a beast wars alternate timeline that focuses on the Maximals and Predacons (who all have vehicle modes instead of beast ones) being oppressed by the Autobots and Decepticons who team up to become "the builders" on a dystopian Cybertron.The Lio convoy of this world (who has the same body to thrilling 30's orion pax) leads a resistance against the builders its a pretty interesting universe i highly recommend looking into it. i like it bc it has a lot of maximals andPredaconss with vehicle modes and robot modes based on toys from all over the franchise's history. most of them are from prime but still. minicons from armada are reimagined as micro masters, characters from all over the franchise appear here not just from G1 and beast wars but also the movies and RID 2015 like blackout and fearswoop from the movie universe and thunderhoof from rid

I'm still trying to find Combiner Wars Devastator for a good price. They'd better not do him wrong if Legacy tries a collect-and-combine gimmick with the g1 six-person team.
I know everyone has an issue with Legacy TFP Arcee, not looking like the cartoon, being very incomplete on the legs and a bunch of other stuff, but I actually love Legacy TFP Arcee. Yes, it’s not perfect, but I really like the design and the way they made a TFP character fit in with G1 style characters, it’s really cool to me 😎
We need the drones that Megatron had with him . Not a fan of the wheels on her legs but do like the set G1 figures we needed for years I wonder if Dion got rebuild ? god its goin to drive any one crazy if they start thinking about that who
Hasbro confirmed Dion wasn't rebuilt into anyone. David Wise (the episode's writer) intended to kill off Dion and Erial to add weight to Optimus Prime's burden. While editors added a bit about Erial being rebuilt into Elita One, Dion wasn't mentioned, which meant he definitely died.
I have a trick for Arcee mold to look better. Split the wheel from backpack and attach it to port just below head (they form something like wings). I don't know if this is possible for this version but it makes this mold pretty decent in my opinion
I have the transformers collectors club Dion I'm already covered on that front, for Erial I use the transformers 07 movie Elita one which coincidentally the feet on that mold happened to match up pretty well with the power the primes Elita one.
Wasn't this shown on Hasbro Pulse during one of the reveals? Did they even say anything about it's release date or availability? It still boggles my mind that Hasbro seems to have a problem with removable parts. The Erial figure would have benefitted greatly from some of the backpack and wheels on her legs being removable. Having that option would be great for so many figures that have too much kibble.
War Dawn 2-pack Dion and Erial i will give 50/50 because this set is between cool and not cool. Because this engineering transformation is basically same from other figure, so that's mean i will say i NOT INTEREST to pick up this set ☹️. Overall, i still will say great video, PrimevsPrime 🤗.
Dion looks spot-on, but I think Erial turned out fantastic, and I love the head sculpt with that rotating ponytail, and that her vehicle mode give me Arcee vibes!
I just got mine and I love them. I absolutely love Dion's additions to the mold. And Eriel looks great as well. Their head sculpts are fantastic. So very happy to have gotten this...now I have the completed set for that episode. It's really a dream for those of us who experienced that episode when we were kids. Now here we are, decades later and we have it. Also, I love the kickstand in bike mode and the additional backpack items for Dion.
Dion's name is pronounced Die-on ( rhymes with Lion) Also, the Unite Warrior Aerialbots are just fine. The only combiners Hasbro should focus on are ones that haven't had a . modern release/update.
Beyond outstanding review PrimeVsPrime!! I cannot wait to get this 2-pack since I have always wanted to have figures of Arial and Dion. They do look impressive next to Orion Pax and Alpha Trion. "War Dawn" is my all time favorite episode of Transformers G1. Keep on being amazing.
I can see Arial's mold being repainted and used as a Cybertronian motorbike version of Moonracer or Flareup, whose strengths include speed, agility, style and fighting skills. Plus, Moonracer looks badass and appro in bike form than car, even though both versions are good.
This Dion is the best one we've gotten to date, but I could use some more work. If they had retooled him a bit more they could have gotten closer to his animation model. Specifically, retooling the abdominal section to have a flip-down panel for his truck grill/headlights and a flip up panel on his hips for his front bumper. The faux fender plates his shoulders rest on could have been narrower while also making his shoulders broader and the right shape. The back tires and real fenders should have been molded in blue or at least painted to match, and his front wheels should have been black. Beyond that, I think this guy needs a separate trailer for the rest of his alt mode instead of some dinky blocks that sorta look like the sides of his trailer bed if squint real hard while looking towards the sun on the longest day of the year.
Oh, basically that just refers to a figures size and articulation. Like "core" class is generally very simple and small figures. "Voyager and Leader" class on the other hand are larger and have, generally, more engineering, just meaning more steps, but better bots and alt modes. It basically goes, Masterpiece, Leader, Voyager, core. With Masterpiece being expensive but big and Core being inexpensive but small. Hope this helps.
Just got Dion and Ariel. They both look fantastic. Unfortunately it feels like Dion’s new molded pieces got rushed through and are a bit of a disaster. Aside from the Kup tear-off arms falling of constantly, the truck bed panels won’t fold without falling off. If you’re thinking about gluing the arms on, it won’t work because in order to attach the hands to the underside of the bed the arms have to be nearly removed to reach. I love the way both figures look in both modes but handling Dion, at all, is more than frustrating. I am grateful that both came with all of the correct parts
My joints were loose as well, but just did the super glue trick. You apply a very think layer of super glue onto the upper arms and and upper legs, and then let it dry. Boom. Insta-tight and they don't fall off.

Who would had thought that Erial would be the better of the two molds. My Dion mold doesn't tab properly in some parts and both his arms are so loose they fall off on the slightest of touch. I have to parts form him as his arms just won't stay on. I loved the color scheme so I bought this set, as I don't have the legacy Arcee mold but, I'm kind of regretting it now as Kup's mold is really bad. Maybe Hasbro should retire Kup's mold as I never thought it was the best and I hated the gimmick of all his limbs falling off as, over time, I knew it could get looser and looser.
While I agree that the Dion mold left much to be desired, I take more of an issue with PrimeVsPrime himself. I find it to be extremely disingenuous to tell people to ignore this set due to its price when he (PrimeVsPrime) most likely got it for free as a review copy. If it's not a review copy and PrimeVsPrime paid for it, does he have actual records that shows he paid for it? I find it to be a slap to the viewer for PrimeVsPrime to say "I can't recommend this due to its cost" when he most likely got it for free and to this date most likely displays it in some form or another.
