I love that they actually mention Mr. Floro Dery. After the debacle that was the Michael Bay era, it's so refreshing to hear filmmakers who actually respect and acknowledge the progenitors of the franchise!

Thank you, I wish we had more time to dive deeper. We even looked deeper into the works of Japanese illustrator and designer Shōhei Kohara. So much thought and inspiration comes from the mutual respects of what foundation comes before our careful holding of the torch.

@@JasonScheierThank *you* for everything you put into this masterpiece of a film. I literally could not believe how exemplary it was when I first watched it on Thursday. The way it seamlessly integrates so many aspects of Transformers lore, especially the "State Games" storyline from the Marvel UK comics and the IDW "Megatron: Origins" comics, really was immensely satisfying. I've been waiting almost four decades to see the real story of Megatron on the silver screen, so this really was a dream come true. I think it really is important to highlight this particular storyline for the next generation of fans on such a grand scale, and all of you, along with Mr. Brian Tyree Henry's breathtaking performance, really did a fantastic job!

@@carlosatausupa8429 Oscar contenders often don't have very high Opening Weekend box office grosses. Based on the fantastic reviews, I anticipate "Transformers One" will have a pretty solid hold over the next few weeks. Animated films targeted to families also tend to have pretty good legs.

Probably the best transformers film i have seen, also is ironically that the toy story 4 director made a better film than the entirely of Bay's transformers

I wish animation would be taken more seriously, it’s a medium of filming, like making things in black and white. It’s artistic expression and can enhance the story.

I hope they get Peter Cullen and Frank welker back for the sequel at least a voice over cameo at the end both of them deserve a farewell speech before they pass away 😢😢( Chris Hemsworth and Bryan henry tee were amazing as young prime and megatron) but need the og voices to give a final speech

I've been a TF fan since the Fall of 1984. I think TF One is an excellent film. It's an excellent Transformers film, for certain. But it's also an excellent film.

The 1986 film is still the best. It laid the ground work for all the films that came after. It has touchstone moments in it that are iconic in our culture. That being said. "Transformers One" is pretty damn awesome. It's the best film since the 86' anime feature.
