Never understood this complaint that "they all look the same in the fights" with any of these movies. That Never made any sense since they always had very distinct and standout designs
Seeing Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal in the same scene is absolutely mind-blowing. And Peter Cullen to Transformers is like Stan Lee to Marvel, he deserves to be in a featurette. Peter Cullen is in his 80s, but is still giving it his all as Optimus Prime! Absolute Legend!
I'm just leaving this comment to let everyone know that this is a bot that steals comments on different popular channels talking about the same topic. (Count of how many times I leave this comment 1)
Hey guys, at least the're being positive alright. I mean it's correct, seeing Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal in one scene IS mindblowing and Peter Cullen needs a featurette is also true.
You caught that GI Joe really quick. When they mentioned "secret organization" I was expecting Sector 7. When that card popped up, my jaw dropped and was like "yoooo Transformers... and joe... in the same universe...!? Let's GO!"
One of the few movies I genuinely clapped at in the theaters, I had no expectations from this movie but was a genuine surprise and loved the mortal kombat fatalities in this
The Airazor dying scene made me cry, with Airazor telling Primal it is ok, and the you can see and feel the pain in Primal face, I just couldn't hold back the crying.😭❤️🦅
Same it was really sad. I remember watching a review saying what am I supposed to feel during this scene. I was just confused as to what other emotion than sadness woudl you feel seeing that scene
Im so happy the Live Action movies of Transformers are taking a new turn! Bumblebee and now RotB were so good! As a die-hard Transformers Fan, Im so glad.
Bumblebee, RoTB and Transformers 1 would be a good trilogy. Or if we NEED a movie after this, then a good 4 movies. Just sorta forget about everything AFTER Transformers 1. lol
I liked this movie a lot. It takes the mcguffin plot weve seen so many times and makes it work by giving the leading characters an actual personal motivation to want it. Noah and Optimus Prime have damn good character development and its they who push the plot forward alongside their competently written character arcs. Its not deep. But its competent.
@BlitzStudiosIsinsideyourhome yes but he was low key kidnapped by Mirage he tried to get out of the car before he transformed and right before the gaurd showed up. That being said from that point Noah could have saved everyone like 40 mins earlier if prime just let him destroy the key which is exactly what prime did in the end anyway so the only official thing he did to help was the battle suit scenes which were only possible by mirage being blasted to pieces to save him so take Noah out of the film prime still destroys the key only difference is mirage would stay in the fight all the way till the end
@BlitzStudiosIsinsideyourhome I mean he had a good character arc and the over all movie is one of the best live action transformers my only issue is just the humans don't have a good enough reason to be there. It's just a big plot hole. Personally I REALLY don't think we need humans to have a primary role in a transformers film. Especially if they have more scenes and dialog than the beasts the movie is named for
Yeah. They just explode into a fireball when they're stabbed in the shoulder by a wing. Or they totally disassemble when a chain is threaded through their body, instead of the chain just breaking. (Which it should've.)
@@Resolver_Convoy_2160theres a difference between wrapping someone with a chain outside their armor with wrapping someone with a chain that goes inside their organs. These are harbour chains too that can handle tons of weight
41:48 It's a time-loop. Basically, The Maximal oath according to their beliefs was started by Optimus Prime. But Optimus Prime himself learned that oath from the Maximals in the first place.
@@jamesralt2606 Yes. Apelinq is also a Maximal. Their belief systems and oaths of the Maximals were based on the legends of Optimus Prime, who is a distant ancestor to them.
I saw this in theaters and I am glad that I did. The moment Stratosphere flew in with Bee in his cargo bay...THE THEATRE WENT WILD!!! We were all cheering and clapping and hooting at the screen. It was magic. They did such an amazing job with this movie.
The GI Joe twist definitely surprised me. When he started talking about being a government agency, my mind first went to Sector 7. I didn't think they'd do this.
The Idea was probably to turn Sector 7 as another name for GI Joe as you know GI Joe sounds kinda goofy maybe They're official known as Joes but under secrecy they're labeled Sector 7...well this is my headcanon now
Peter Cullen to Transformers is like Stan Lee to Marvel, he deserves to be in a featurette. Peter Cullen is in his 80s, but is still giving it his all as Optimus Prime! Absolute Legend!
@ejayjohnny5292 Yeah well I don't see anyone else behind making Transformers stories even getting half the recognition Peter Cullen and Frank Welker do
My Dad and I have been huge Transformers fans our entire lives. He watched the original series and saw the animated movie in theaters opening night. He was also a giant fan of G.I. Joe and played with TF and GIJ action figures together. When I was about 4 years old, he introduced me to both of them, and I was instantly hooked and they were my whole personality. TF4 and TF5 were awful, didn’t see Bumblebee in theaters but enjoyed it when I watched. My Dad and I saw this a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. It felt just like the cartoon with its plot and was just endless fun. Now, we’re actually getting a fucking GIJ & TF crossover??? We looked at each other after the credits started rolling and said at the same time, “Hooooly Shiiiiit”.
I actually REALLY enjoyed both Anthony Ramos and Pete Davidson a lot in this. I dont think humans are ever essential in these films, but this was besides bumblebee the first transformers film were the main human character didn't bother me at all!
It probably has to do with the fact that the Characters actually do something and are usefull within the Story. And that they actually have a Personality - because as far as it gets, Sam was just there to yell all the time, and Cayde was basically just a parody of an ex-soldier.
I’m not going to lie I was super worried because I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ones without sam BUT they more than made up with this one I really liked this cast and connected great with them they definitely made me care about Noah and Elena 💪🏾 and I only seen the trailer where the animals didn’t transform so that was so cool to see for the first time and I won’t lie Mirage as Pete was way to perfect 😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The only Transformers I watched growing up was "Beast Wars" this movie made me so happy. When they went into battle and Primal yelled "Rhinox, Cheetor, MAXIMIZE!" I almost cried. It was so good. Not gonna lie, they kinda did Rhinox dirty tho.
This is genuinely my favorite Transformers movie aside from Bumblebee. The designs are fantastic (Except Wheeljack which is a major downgrade from the Bumblebee Cybertron version), the action is amazing, you can actually see what's going on during it. Hell, even the human element of it was great. We have an animated movie based on Cybertron with Chris Hemsworth voicing a younger Optimus (Orion Pax) and I can't wait to see it. Give me more Transformers movies with their G1 models.
It is a great blockbuster movie with all the letters (especially that final battle). Nothing groundbreaking but also nothing as souless or insulting as Marvel's recent movies (Guardians of Galaxy 3 was great tho). As a fan of the franchise I'm extremely pleased.
I think Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be the best film of 2023, giving a huge spot for the win… Rocket’s story, and one last time for the Guardians to finish off their journey, and fight off The High Evolutionary and his army.
You didn’t really point it out but hearing the 07 theme was super nostalgic and cool for me cause I grew up with the bay films and felt their essence in this movie
@@dariuschisholm7317 no?? wdym? They are real characters and not just probs or smth. They all have their own story to tell and motivations like Humans??? They got treated like that in the Bay Movies but since Bumblebee, we actually get their personalities and get to see them as them.
@@fayeprime9631 Yes, all the G1 Transformers have very specific and drawn out personalities, it was important as a means to sell the toys by featuring each character.... except for Skids.
For the longest time, Stratosphere was a toy only character, coming from the Revenge of the Fallen line. He turned into the cargo plane that dropped Optimus off at the beginning of the movie.
After watching this film 3 times in theatres, this has now become my favourite live-action Transformers movie by far, I enjoyed how it actually focused more on the plot and characters compared to the Michael Bay movies
This was a really good Transformers movie. This is how Transformers should look like. Fresh, clean visuals. Less annoying humans. Cool cinematography. And G.I.Joe crossover at the end?.......Okay. :3
The missed opportunity would’ve been to reintroduce John Cena’s character, Agent Burns, at the G.I.Joe headquarters, Telling the main character to call him by his new code name: *Duke*
This is by far the best Transformers movie of the franchise I've seen this movie on Imax opening day and it was amazing and I saw this movie 3 times it got better and better every time I saw it. Seeing the Maximals on the big screen was amazing to see and Ron Perlman was a great choice as Optimus Primal this movie had tons of great action, Optimus is at his best in this movie their isn't that much human story which was great this felt like watching the 86 animated movie the battle scenes are the greatest of the franchise and Peter Cullen doing reprising his role as Optimus is the icing on the cake he sounds like what Optimus sounded like in the animated movie and shows which was great. I wonder how their going to tie G.I. Joe into the Transformers that would be cool to see to see on the big screen. This movie is one of the greatest movies of the summer I can't wait to watch this movie at home I already got this movie on pre-order and it comes out the day after my birthday. I got the Funko Pops coming in next month from this movie. The best part of this movie is Michael Bay didn't touch this movie at all and it didn't feel like a Bay movie at all this is a true Transformers movie and what it should be.
@@21YearOldLonerVirgin Seriously no that movie is complete garbage once again there's barely any Transformers in the movie Rise of the Beasts is the best of the franchise next to Bumblebee. Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, Age of Extinction, and the Last Knight are all garbage the only two great movies of the franchise are Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts the first one was ok, but not as great as Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts. Let's get one thing clear I'm not a punk ok
I hope in the next film they explore some of the lore for the Autobots and Maximals because there's is so much stuff they didn't explore, like how the Maximals are from the future and they're what Cybertronians evolve into or even the backstory of Primus, Unicron and the creation of the 13 primes. Also, Bumblebee deserves either a second movie or a tie-in series, preferably set before 1994 just to see what happened in the 7 year gap, which could be used to explain why Wheeljack went from badass wrecker to semi-retired amateur zoologist which I feel might eventually lead him to creating the Dinobots and then getting his mojo back when Shockwave or Soundwave( I can't remember which one it was) breaks Grimlock's brain.
The bumblebee sky dive is my favorite moment from any transformers movie. Also seeing one of my favorite up and coming rappers get to be in a big movie like this and have the title track is awesome
Transformers exists because of GI Joe, and they've been crossing over since the 80's Long story short, japan adapted GI Joe in their country as androids, which later evolved into transforming mechas, which where bought by Hasbro and rebranded as Transformers. Then, Gi Joe crossed over in an episode of the original cartoon with Cobra as a villain, one of the characters from season 3, Marissa Fiarborne, was confirmed as the daughter of 2 GI Joe characters, and they've crossed over in the comics a few times.
At first I was confused about the G.I Joe tie in but I did some research and they teamed up in the comics. Now I hate that we didn’t get this in any previous transformers or G.I Joe movies
Fun Fact: Noah Diaz Is Played By American Singer-Songwriter and Actor Anthony Ramos Who Also Plays Mr. Piranha From The Bad Guys and King Trollex From Trolls World Tour
I loved this movie when I went to see it. I laughed at some parts, got emotional at others, I got a little bit annoyed at others, too. I wasn't expecting to love Mirage as much as I did, given who his voice actor was, but surprise surprise. The teamwork between the Autobots and the Maximals as they worked together to take down the Terrorcons and Unicron was amazing. I felt my jaw drop when I saw Scourge kill Bumblebee, but I was ecstatic when he made his epic entrance into the fight after being re-energized by all the Energon deposits. Honestly, hearing the voices of Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman in the same movie is way too cool to not love. I gave this movie a solid 9/10.
I really enjoyed this. Best Transformers movie... excited for the next two. Great to see the transformations and they really humanized the all the bots. Primal having to off his 'mother' was heartbreaking. I've never cried during Transformer's movie until this one. Mirage was voiced by Pete Davidson....didn't know until I checked out the voice actors. He did a great job.
Noah's suit gave me Spike Witwicky vibes when I saw this in theatres. I believe my exact words in the theatre were "wtf they Spike Witwicky-ing him?!" 🤣
I knew they were doing a reboot of Transformers starting with Bumblebee, but I didn't even think about them also rebooting GI Joe after I saw this one 😮 Airazor's death hits hard. I was really hoping she'd survive to the end.
As a child who invested hundreds into beast war transformers and followed the show i was so excited. I do wish they had more core characters and the side characters like rinox and cheetor had more dialogue but it was an awesome step in the right direction where these films need to go to stay fresh and appealing. Awesome summer flick!!! It felt like fever dream seeing it done finally. Im sure im going to get the same feeling for deadpool 3!!
Fantastic movie! Went in with zero expectations and it blew me away. This and Bumblebee are what I have always wanted to see in Transformers films. Bring on the Hasbroverse!!
(I should say that everyone except one asshat producer says it's a reboot.) Which is wild because the 07 movie timeline makes no sense if these aren't reboots.
Transformers - Rise of the Beast in IMAX 3D on opening day on June 8th was Kick Ass!!! The best way to experience it!!! Getting to meet Peter Cullen and hanging out with him several times in my life he is just an amazing iconic individual. Transformers Collection Count - 3126 Till All Are One!!!
I loved this movie! I had so much fun with it. And, as a Brooklynite, I could appreciate the asthetic and the attitudes. Wish you had seen it in the theater. Maccu Pichu looked stunning on the big screen!
I absolutely loved this reaction, I was such a big fan of this movie since the first! And to see that Greg and Tara loved it just as much made me so happy, and I’m glad Greg noticed as well that this one actually made you care about the transformers as characters, they weren’t just there as fillers, they were actual characters
TF: RotB is amazing. 9/10 for me. Watching in IMAX was an experience. I liked the world building, the characters, the story, the designs. Getting a director who understands the source material is huge! Can't wait for more! Go Joe!
I love that the action in this is shot the same way Michael Bay would do it. Makes it feel connected even if he isn’t directing it. Same cool cinematography and slow mo. They even brought back the epic theme from those movies in the final battle. Also, they mention Unicron isn’t dead and will probably return, which of course sets up his return in the fifth movie, The Last Knight. Side note: I want Shia LaBeouf and Mark Wahlberg in a TF movie together.
Technically Stratosphere hasn't appeared before, however he did recieve a figure in the Revenge of the Fallen toyline based off of the plane Optimus dives out of in the Shanghi opening scene, down to including a tiny Optimus, figure to put in his cargo bay.
They said the bumblebee movie was a reset of the universe. It's why so many characters looked closer gen 1 designs. This movie was definitely what I wanted. Only thing I'dmy nerdy heart would have loved more was Bee coming down from the sky to an updated version of "you've got the touch"😅
Had a lot of fun with the movie. Never watched Beast Wars, but the Maximals were a fun addition to the Autobot crew and I hope we can see more of them. Was not expecting a possible G.I. Joe crossover, I thought they were recruiting him for N.E.S.T., but I'm open to seeing how that plays out. Good stuff
Feeling emotionally invested in a Transformers film feels strange as the last time I felt like that was with the 86 film! ROTB delivered. I like your point that it felt rousing, similar to the 86 film at times. I wish we got more time with the Maximals, I wanna see Rattrap 😂 maybe next film
This movie was really good felt contented with the movie, but i kinda do miss the first 3 bayverse movies, they were chaotic but fun and the cgi they still hold up.
I watched this movie at home just because I had little expectations for it. But huge surprises in this if you go in thinking its just like all the other Transformer movies. The GI Joe crossover is exciting. Hopefully Hasbro brings power rangers back too.
Some interesting info about this movie is the company that did the CGI called MPC had trouble completing the CGI work on it so a company Weta was called in to help complete it. MPC got it cause they bid less than ILM and ILM was also working on another Transformers film. The first scene with Apelinq was added by Weta which is why you don’t see his emblem on Scourge the rest of the movie. The designers used Peter Cullens face to make design Optimus Prime’s face. When Prime is Optimal it’s an Easter Egg to when in the Beast Wars series Optimus Primal takes on Prime’s spark and goes through a body change. The weird thing with this film like all the other ones is continuity. Megatron isn’t in it cause he’s supposed to be frozen on earth. In “The Last Knight” Unicron is part of the earth and in here he’s a separate entity.
I reqlly enjoyed the designs and especially the Transformations in this movie and in Bumblebee. These felt to me more like Robots in disguise whereas the Bayverse Transformers felt more like vehicles that could turn into giant Robots if that makes any sense.
