I agree 100% on the coloring hiding the details and being too clean for a “Siege” figure. Some weathering would really accentuate his detail and give him more character. I may even do some dry-brushing on this guy myself.

I’ve ordered this figure and am still awaiting its arrival. I think it’s a amazing figure, and love the emotional parts idea, gives Shockwave more character. Great review ma man, and glad you reviewed this figure

I think the extra parts is what makes this figure, though it shouldn’t be at a leader price...maybe voyager + ($10 more or something) It’s still nice to see Hasbro finally give us a generations shockwave.

As you can see, this is a nice video. I agree about the price point how they messed up. It could have been much more but it is still a beautiful figure and I like him on his hoverboard which I will have him displayed with.

I originally passed on this because I couldn’t stand the Swiss Army Knife look all armored up but after seeing the basic figure sans the parts formers I might have to reconsider if I can get it for less than full Leader Class price. Might also have to get the Generations Selects Galactic Man colorway.

In the original cartoon shockwave was actually a gun

Yeah, and it doesn’t really make sense for him to transform into a weird spaceship. The whole siege aesthetic was to have the alternate modes be “Cybertron” modes, like megatron being a tank, star scream being a spaceship, and Optimus having a Cybertron styled truck. So that’s why the siege toys don’t have the iconic “earth” modes with megatron being a gun, starscream being a plane, and Optimus being a normal truck. But there’s no reason why shockwave shouldn’t turn into a gun. Before he ever went to earth, he was only on Cybertron. On Cybertron, he always turned into a gun. There was no excuse to not make him turn into a gun because that was his cybertron mode. They definitely had the midget to engineer him better since he’s basically a leader-priced voyager class. It seems like the toy designers just got lazy.
