Extremely well choreographed and executed! This is some of the best TF stop-motion I've ever seen. Just one problem: you forgot to flip Superion's antennae up!
Thanks to Hasbro for the support, my new stop motion video, Prime VS Menasor, video take around 20 days of production and 3000 pictures. 感謝孩子寶的支援, 新片上架, 柯博文VS飛天虎, 影片花了約20天共3000張照片組合而成, 感謝收看.
counter656 another awesome stop motion man Im still waiting for an ep' where you or someone walks in thinking they heard something and their frozen till the owner walks out of the room ...or somethin like that lol
Could you maybe do some more reviews on your second chann along with another spiderman and or predator stop motion? Or go new with terminator? Thank you
I usually don't share stuff that isn't my own videos, but......this is just too amazing to pass by. If this video doesn't capture everything awesome about Transformers, I don't know what does! Amazing work, counter656
Wow. Usually, when I see a title like this, I think "Oh no, another one". But this was actually thought out and really well made, with fluid animation. Good job.
Also After some mild looking at the stop motion. Holy christ, it feels smooth because you filmed a LOT of frames. (For a stop motion that is, ofc it runs at like, idk, 5 frames per second but that is impressive.) Also the flying issue I found that, when the bots are in air, some of their parts are always outside of the screen. Or covered by CGI. Fascinating. Well done, well thought of, and the camera angles were good too. 10/10 Well like 9/10 because no dialogue I guess???
Dude!!! Thats is AWESOME video!!! My kid come screaming to me to watch it cause his B-day was today and one of the transformers he got was silverbot! We did not know he was one of 5 that made a big one until we unwrapped the gifts. We love how you put that video together!!
Optimus: Eat my shots! Menasor:(blocks) Optimus: God dammit.(throws gun) Menasor:(Gets hit by gun) Suprisingly, he blocks the blasts but not the gun. DAFUQ MAN?
When you transform them, how do you know what parts to skip showing in the video? Because your transformations look so smooth yet simple, whereas whenever I try to show one, it ends up looking too involved and slow.
What´s your secret? You're very fast making videos XD!! Your camera movements are very, very fluids. I don´t understand. You´re a machine XD!! Fantastic job John ;D!! See you later.
dostortasfilms Thanks a lot my friend, I just have more free time to make videos, your latest video is just excellent, love the fighting movements, wish to see more from you.
Hey there is a way to make your camera move fluent. First you need a green screen. Then you need to record a video without any robot or toys the way you want to record it(that will be your background). And finally record your stop motion toy on a green screen and then apply your background that you recorded with your toy and vuala, your done
Always great stuff! Just curious. Do you choose to use your home as the setting to show that you run a bare bones operation? Wouldn't it be better to green screen the background or create a small 5x5 setting for the awesome action to take place?
Setting up a green screen isn't easy, you need the PERFECT lighting and also,if you have a character that's green, it'll be wiped off the video and all those toys have a metallic paint job somewhere and it's gonna look green, reflecting the green background,so lots of pieces of each character are erased, and it's just so much more simple to have no background or a plain cardboard background
Superion's head antenna are a bit of a pain to get pointed up correctly, I recommend slowly rotation both sides as the same time at the base due to the soft plastic by pinching them with your fingers like you're crushing his head.
+Rehab Foxy Technically speaking. Making a stop motion like this is a pretty mediocre/normal project. The trick here is the bunch of special effects that make the whole process seem unrecognisable.
Rehab Foxy Time consuming doesn't equal impossible. I've seen and cooperated in a few student films -eventhough I'm the laziest disgusting bastard the animation courses ever seen- turning out to be pretty smooth done within 2-3 hours, and also seen animations done horrible, eventhough they've spent weeks for it it. Depending on the theme, there's a certain amount of practical and computer generated effects the creator SHOULD use, and also balance it with dynamic, and smoothly placed figures and characters, to make their movement feel alive, even without the effects. Generally speaking, of course. I mean, this doesn't really apply to counter656, since the point of this short was rather entertainment and commercial purpose, in which case he did a pretty nice job. But thinking it over, I think it's just me, and my shivery disgust for special effects after seeing Michael Bay's explosion orgies back then..
