Most likely they would give him a sword, mace and a back barrel so it's more G1 accurate.

Why?

They had their pros and cons. While no open windows means people can't mess with or just flat out steal it, it does run the risk of someone buying it, bot-swapping it, and returning it. Personally I like the closed boxes cuz the art looks nice. Wish Hasbro would go the extra mile: A closed box with cool art with a flap that you can open to see the toy through a plastic window.

I mean....the concept art is all that exist of this megatron, no vehicle mode was made during the concept art stage but even then, how did hasbro give us good alternative modes for Shockwave, ironhide, ratchet, brawn, arcee and wheeljack but did sort of mediocre with Soundwave and megatron

@@Kaiju-bm4ts or the Mainline ROTB figures, they were just made from the robot concept art, to my knowledge there were no vehicle mode concept art pieces at the time

​@@Kaiju-bm4tsHonestly, and this is only my opinion and may be affected by my extreme Soundwave bias (as Soundwave is one of, if not my favorite Decepticon), I don't mind the tank mode on Soundwave. Sure, it looks significantly more like a brick than a tank, but if you either squint hard enough, or if you flip the back piece to show the two peg slots from the bot mode's back and put the weapons there instead, it actually does look like a nice tank for what they gave us. I obviously don't have any concrete opinions on this new SS Megatron (besides the fact it's robot mode looks absolutely DIVINE), but the Tank mode looks good (I think it's mistransformed in the video, but I could be wrong. The front is sticking out quite a bit) and the jet mode looks nicer than I expected from the product pics. I'm willing to keep an open mind with this guy. Of course, if anyone feels differently, it's your opinion, amigo. We all got our own interpretations of what makes something good, and that's okay.

@@vegetablack3953 I'm sorry but i can't see that as a tank no matter what I do with it,Soundwave's vehicle mode will always look like a weird spacecraft or green goblins hover board to me. They could of made Soundwave a big boom box and I wouldn't be complaining. As for megatron, the robot mode is absolutely amazing, but the vehicle modes are just....meh, maybe the tank is mistransformed and I hope it is cause that's the most ugly looking tank mode I've seen. The jet does look better by comparison but got nothing on the jet mode of SS tf1 megatron

@@Kaiju-bm4ts Yeah, understandable. I do know in Megatron's defense, he's a triple changer, and like most, if not all (official) triple changers, one form is compromised to help the other two. In this case, it appears to be the tank mode that's taking the hit, though it looks okay enough I guess. Soundwave is tough to defend. It's honestly just a matter of perspective. Some, like myself, don't mind, and others, like yourself, it's hard to ignore. Don't get me wrong. That's not a bad thing or anything. It's perfectly fine to not care for it. I may like the figure, but I also understand it has it's flaws.

It’s not really fair to compare a 3rd Party MP figure to SS. For what SS BBM Megs it’s fantastic

I do wish it was as big as it was shown in the concept art but if it was hasbro would have put him in commander class also yes this figure has a few problems which shouldn't have even be here at this price point.
