The head reminds me of the War for Cybertron design. Mostly because of the permanent scowl/massive chin

You DO look GOOD Megatron. Can't wait for Bumblebee Movie Shockwave though.

My plan for this guy when I eventually get him is to transform him into jet mode first, then transform him back to robot mode, then transform him to tank mode, and transform him back to robot mode again. Also, you're the first person reviewing this figure to actually have a positive opinion of the tank and jet modes!

I know it's a testament to Hasbro's resourcefulness, but they really love the SS RotF Megatron crotch transformation, huh? From my memory, that has been used 3 times now: -SS RotF Megatron (its debut) -SS DotM Shockwave -and now SS BBM Concept Art Megatron

This is pretty cool. Hasbro was able to take a concept design of Megatron for the Bumblebee movie, which more than likely didn't have an alt. mode and turned it into a triplechanger. That's impressive, if you ask me. 😁👍

They probably didn’t want to bring him into a movie at that movie because he apparently was off planet in the first movie and he wasn’t going to be a good choice for the ROTB because it involved Unicron and Megatron wouldn’t need to have been Galvatron yet. So the next movie I think he will be brought out.

I got mine in the early days of January, and i wasn't disappointed, i loved it so much

The jet mode looks like they tried to mix the ROTF jet mode and the TF Animated Cybertron jet mode into one!

I’ve always been a fan of a triple changing Megatron as opposed to just choosing one or the other in different Transformers series. If Megatron ever returns in the movieverse, I hope they keep the triple changing Megatron concept

Cool! did not expected to be a triple changer! It nice to see new triple changes since only a few new ones, other are just rehash of G1 Best of all for me is no part forming at all and tank turret can rotate still.

A concept that would really be groovy: "Optimus Prime"-(Triple Changer!!!!) Robot, (Cab-Over) Truck, & Mobile ATM UNIT!!!! 😄

If you use BattleTraps wrecking Ball and Optimus primals chain you can recreate Megatron's G1 weapon. That's what that extra attachment point is.

I really love this figure, no wonder when i visited the comic con last year the item was so hot it was cleared up fast

How dare you Megs! His one eye is absolutely gorgeous. GORGEOUS I SAY!!! LOL 😮 i love it. Now that you've recieved yours I should get my hasbro pre-order in 2-2 1/2 weeks roughly. It tends to be the pattern I noticed. As for all those storage options he has in robot mode for his lone cannon. I can see possible upgrades/repaints for this figure. With the plug port on the sholder I can imagine a G2 comic style repaint with a small hand blaster or sword for him to weild. Or an upgrade piece to go on the back connector to give him his pistol barrel on his back to get that classic G1 look. This added barrel could be used as an extended tank howitzer, or a missle pod for his flight mode. Which if his flight mode was more stealth bomber sculpted he could get his black repaint too.

I got the jet mode to secure the arm to the leg You need to press in on the leg while pushing down on the arm to lock it in

You can thicken up the jet mode's underside tabs with furniture polish though, right? At least the jet mode conceals the robot head better than the tank.

We need a Cybertronian Optimus from the Bumblebee movie.

As much as i like these bee concept art figs ive been waiting for the voyager treatment for the aoe dinobots. Grimlock got the leader and scorn got a voyager but the others are no where to be seen

I love how it looks like they ran out of things to spend money on so they made the fusion Canon store eight different ways

Those vehicle modes definitely feel like they half assed 2 things instead of whole assing 1 thing.

My edvice for transforming him into jet mode just tab the arms and Canon the same way you would do for tank mode

The "jet" mode's wings look a tad small for my taste, but other than that i think this figure is awesome

Also it has a few fan made alt modes as well such as a elephant mode

This is the best Megatron figure that Hasbro has made and it has four modes to it.

my nitpick is the face it needed to be darker then the helmet , cause i see terminator as megatron

Finally someone sane ! I really loved your review as always , how can anyone purchase this knowing what the al modes look like and criticize their appearance totally insane ! You on the other hand, described exactly what it is Cybertronian , thank you! Please note that according to pictures I came upon there is supposed to be two more alt modes!

If anyone is interested, he fits quite well in Corination Starscream's throne.

I was able to get the jet mode tabbed in. It just requires the elbows to be bent a certain way to be tabbed in and the thighs turned very precisely so that everything tabs in as stable as you can get it.

Looks great! Wish there was a little more shading or outline between the face and bucket though.

They try to get a good Vehicle mode for megatron.

There is a hidden fourth mode. A fan created weapon mode.

Emgo, have you looked into all the fan modes people have come up with for this figure? I'd love to see an expanded JTI with them if you have the time.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having trouble with the jet mode holding together. I was hoping your review would show me a mistake I was making, but it really is that loose a connection.

Anytime we get a new Megs with a fusion cannon I always think the same thing: can Brawn use it? Mostly because he's the only other character I've seen doing so.

I wanted to see the "Tankor" mode.

The Achai back cannon and LED cannon barrel upgrades for this figure look _really_ good.

The head sculpt looks great but….. too much technical detail. Just too much for me. It’s just a nitpick but I much prefer the Monocrat Megatank head sculpt

I wish the jet mode came together better because I am beyond sick of "silver tank" Megatron alt modes. I miss the days when Hasbro actually got inventive with Megs designs. Part of why I love Earthspark Megs is his twin-rotor chopper mode, which reminds me of Best Megs Alt Mode, Animated Megs. Please Hasbro, just...enough with the silver tanks.

This review is a great advertisement for the MT-O1 Megatank! I know he costs roughly $50 more, but man....he's so imposing. I'd rather a downsized MT-O1 at CHUG scale than Hasbro's rendition.

In the plane mode I always combine the canon with both arms but with the panel on the canon extended almost like the tank mode but different, I find it makes everything feel MUCH more solid. Pro tip 😂

Now that I have my copy in hand I can see them resculpting this into the upcoming Leader class studio series 86 Megatron. Personally I would rather a whole new design for the SS86 Megs, but with the way Hasbro has been lately...I'm expecting the lazier approach of just resculpting this instead of a new design.

It looks like a mashup. Terminator/transformers. The head sculpt is reminiscience of t800. Looks amazing!

Call me crazy, but just ONCE id love it if someone would make a Megs that can transform into a weapon for either a large combiner or titan class figure..🤷🏼‍♂️

Hey Emgo I've been watching you're videos for years you always explain everything very well , I feel I know you, anyway you probably already know but you can also turn this meg into a laser gun , their is a video, and you add the fusion gun from seige meg as the scope and there's a new kit out you can buy for him an extension for the barrel which makes the silencer and a cool sword that comes with it that you put on the other side, thank you for your presentations of your videos and dog keep watching just wanted to let you know.

Hmmm, I think I like Super Megatron and the G2 Megatron repaint from that headmaster Blitzwing more as a triple changer than this Megatron. Killer robot mode though.

Looks like a Terminator Megatron with that face and perhaps body. Skynet concept design.

And I'm here still waiting having pre-ordered with entertainment earth. They take to long. Chosen Prime and Big Bad Toy Store are much better with handling pre-orders.
