Transformers Studio Series 92 TLK Deluxe Class CROSSHAIRS Review

I’m not sure how to feel about this figure. It looks good, but I think this is one of the rare cases where I prefer the original figure over the new offering. I just think the original TLK figure handles the vehicle kibble and trench coat little better. Crossing my fingers that Hasbro will re-do TLK Barricade.

This guy is mad scientist and Ratchet is doctor,colors are same.But i think this guy kind of reminds me tfp Knockout.Anyways i love alt node,robot mode looks far more superior than previous

With Hasbro releasing hot rod and cross hairs I’m really hoping we get a new TLK Barricade

I’m noticing something, up until this came out (and even then) the vehicle mode has always been more accurate then the robot mode. I *THINK* that they put the vehicle mode first and then the robot mode and then the paint. This *Is* a cool figure but even then I see the cape as some kibble…look at drift for example. He’s just a recolor of his original Transformers 5 figure. I love that they considered (or someone found a way) to take off the kibble on his back. and I absolutely love the placing of the weapon storage. The sculpting on the head and arms though CHEFS KISS 10/10

This crosshairs look so awesome! I’m definitely pre ordering him since I missed out on the age of extinction of and the last knight. Without a doubt, they will make more age of extinction and the last knight casts!

I just got this one. And I REALLY love his alt mode. He's a really cool figure.

i honestly loved the designs for most of the TF4 and 5 transformers (minus prime since there is so little indication that he turns into a truck) and to finally see a decent crosshairs toy (since he was one of the best) is really great

Articulation and semi-finicky transformation aside, I have to pay due respect to that weapon storage inside of the doors. That's by far one of the coolest and most useful things about this design. It's definitely nice for people who like alt forms without the weapons. Granted you could just take the weapons off, but still.

Honestly out of these recent figures I’m most impressed with the fallen as the playability is insane

Now I'm not a Hasbro toy designer, but since the hood of the car sits on top of where the legs are in vehicle mode, maybe they could've found some way to use that headlight/hood piece to fill out the legs for robot mode. Just a suggestion, still happy with the figure regardless

I honestly really like the look of this guy. Prime vs Prime, did you ever get or at least see the last knight legends Crosshairs figure? It's actually pretty accurate and decent for how small scale it is. I definitely think it's worth a quick look.

We are starting to get TLK figures and I can’t wait for Optimus and megatron. Got hot rod and crosshairs pre-ordered. Great review and can’t wait to actually have it!

Man was voiced by the legendary John DiMaggio who is by far the best joker for me and made this guy one of the best autobots (once again in my opinion)

I really like this figure, crosshairs has always been one of my most favourite transformers. He’s just super darn amazing and a hell of a lot cool

The back kibble definitely detracts. I'm leery of deliberately popping pieces off for fear that repeated friction will loosen the socket. A better solution in my mind would have been to use some sort of armature that would let the hood and windscreen flip or reverse; it would hide the car kibble, and also help make the torso look more solid.

Again, this is one of my favourite designs in the Michael Bay series, the head sculpt is very well executed, but I wish this is a gradient colour for the goggles, but yea, the back is accurate, posable capes, really make this figure feel juicy, the lime green was kind of weird initially when I saw the promotional pictures, but now in this review, I feel okay, I also wonder why the MB line was not going to include TLK crosshairs, the overall posability is really improved, the big elephant in the room is the kibble management, the flat look for crosshairs, and the cape. Vehicle is a nice touch, not gonna lie, overall I give a score 3/5, as I expected

With this figure i wouldnt of minded a cloth for the trench coat, but i appreciate they tried to use kibble for the coat, and it is an amazing attempt.

Such an improvement, ima need to start purging my collection to make room for all these new figures 😅

Looking pretty damn good! I painted the hell out of the first one even though it was the special reissue version by Takara, but liking this a lot better over all, that removable backpack is great and if you leave it on it looks just like a packed parachute! Glad he hasn't shrunk in bot mode either.

I am definitely gonna pick this figure up. Ive been wanting a crosshairs for a while now.

The details are amazing, that's where studio series shines, although I do agree that the older figure is still pretty cool . I also actually prefer how this figure handles the kibble, although not perfect. The hollow forearms and calves are a disappointment but overall not bad. I think if DNA Design were to offer something for this figure I'd want them to give him brand new arms with shoulder pads that can hinge out of the way and non-hollow forearms.

I noticed that this transformation is very much like Tlk Drifts with the roof and sides of the alt mode

The cape / back part of the coat looks weird with the outside panels of the car showing from the front. I can see that there are hinges for those... Is it possible to fold those panels out so that the inside is showing from the front??

The sculpt and paint are great, but the TLK figure is gonna stay for me. I just prefer the look of the TLK figure and he’s been on my shelf too long to move on from.

Amazing figure, I need him! Crosshairs is one of my favourite Autobots from the Bayverse.

1:17 i actually learned this recently that he was shooting shadow raiders who were just flying in decepticon fighter ships

The original AOE/TLK figure has a better silhouette for the trench coat shape and kibble management, but this one has a more accurate sculpt, less hunched shoulder height, and more articulation throughout. Neither are completely perfect but I suppose it depends on what you’re looking for. Such is the bane for a cursed impossible design

Hopefully this gets an upgrade kit to fix the issues

So glad you can give him the option for a cleaner back via the front having a Ball joint but i have to be honest, it doesn't look complete without it but hey, Atleast its an option

He might have some hindering flaws, but he's a good upgrade over the 2017 figure, and at least he does not have a rubbery trench coat unlike the 2014 figure.

nice looking car mode, could have used a bit more paint picking out some of the molded details :D

All it needs is some extra paint on the on the unpainted areas and it'll be a perfect studio series figure

I really hope they'd release a ss triple changer Drift, ss Hound, and the Evasion mode + TLK Optimus Prime. Hound's already perfect, but for TLK Prime, he needs to manage with that kibble.

I hope it will get the same details and re-design for the SS Deluxe class AoE Crosshairs too.

Maybe if the back kibble (primarily the windshield and its below part) tabbed into to back with another set of hinges so it looks like more of the coat the back might've looked better

I just got my Crosshairs about a week or so ago. It didn't come with a rear spoiler either :(

I honestly would have preferred a repaint/retool of TLK Crosshairs. It was actually pretty good. But like I said it just needed more paint and some retooling.

Wish his green was darker. Hopefully if they do an Age of Extinction version, they can do that. Also would love to see his blue and red colored goggles rather than just the plain TLK red.

7:47 it might look better but the back of the figure is still made to evoke the trench coat that’s why the hinges go outwards and they left the roof curve on the lower waist because his coat has that shape in the movie

The way his general parts organise in car mode reminds me of jolt

Just bought crosshairs and my one came with a spoiler but mines car roof was not attached

If the entire backpack could be flipped to fill the void behind the torso it would be perfect

I feel like it would've been better to put a ball joint at the top of the back, allowing the kibble to fill in the gap as well as giving more mobility to the car bits. I don't have the figure so I'm not sure if this would really work but it's just a thought

I really love the vehicle mode it the paint app is so good it feels like a diecast jada toy

I wish the front of the car lights was painted full silver to make it pop and accurate to the film

My wishlist for next Transformers toys: Legacy Rad - A head retool of Earthrise Smokescreen, emulating Cybertron Smokescreen. If he was a Generations Selects figure, he would also have Lionizer more or less like Cyclonus with Nightstick. Legacy Megatronus - A Leader Class figure based on his Prime Wars Trilogy appearance and his jet mode from Forged to Fight, his Energon-infused weapons are dual claws based on his Power of the Primes toy's Bomb-Burst Pretender Shell claw weapon. Energon Universe Constructicon Maximus - Steamhammer will probably be a Leader Class figure with the limbs all being Voyager Class ones, while still being able to combine. All characters will also be used for "Classics Universe" Devastator, probably as a multi pack, although I'm not sure if they should be straight redecos, or have their heads retooled, with the former case in my opinion being especially for Hightower. Legacy Ironhide - I hate to admit, but Legacy Ironhide will not be the Studio Series mold, rather a redeco of Earthrise Ironhide with the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Cliffjumper treatment by making all his windows non-translucent plastic and painting them light blue. He also has the drill gun (which is unfortunately unable to attach to Studio Series 86 Ironhide's forearms unlike the Earthrise mold) from the Centurion Drone and Worlds Collide Bumblebee's bazooka, the latter still being in the same shade of green. Vintage Megatron - While the gun Megatron is unable to be reissued, I wonder what it's like if Hasbro reissued the Generation 2 Tank Megatron instead, even if means removing all of his electronics. Collaborative Arcee and Glamour Cog - Collaborative Arcee is redeco of Earthrise Arcee in show accurate colors (especially the feet), and Glamour Cog a redeco of Siege Cog in a purple and white color scheme. Arcee also has the blaster included with Red Cog that is meant to be used for Earthrise Arcee's back port, a Pinkie Pie wig for her head, and figurines of Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and their human counterparts.

Would’ve been cool if they made the leg wheels swing around inside the legs to form the calf’s, would’ve helped fill the legs out a bit. If they painted the insides of the cars side frames, that are exposed from the back of the figures robot mode, to be black with green pinstriped highlights, that would improve the trench coat look. Maybe make the shoulder guards black with green pinstripes & gunmetal & copper mechanical detail highlights. They could obviously paint the arm guards probably black with green pinstripes & gunmetal & copper highlights on the mechanical parts. As well as add an inside arm panel that hinges open to allow the hands to store in vehicle mode. The panel could have gunmetal & copper mechanical details.

Thanks. Great work as usual. I would've liked to see the "effective" range of the shoulders a bit more using the butterfly joints he has, but I think I'm happy with what I see. PS: I think your copy's head might be misassembled / misaligned. Previous designer shots show the head sitting further back with much better range rotating left and right. I think its an improvement over the orgininal but not perfect by any means. Im still going to get it and I think it looks cool. Studio series has been putting out some bangers lately. Amazing review though!

Both the new crosshairs and hot rod figure have dope alt modes

This is a difficult one. My amazon preorder of this just came in. The robot mode almost made me start a refund as I haven't opened it yet and that form was kinda rough looking on the back-kibble...but that vehicle mode...daaaaang. It's nice, and thats usually what I care most about: the vehicle form actually looks like a vehicle.

This is great and the convette is really good but his robot mode needed the kibble handled better and needed a lot more paint on the legs Chest and arms

You know if i was in charge of crosshairs i would make his trench coat an accessory and just make crosshairs himself transform into the Corvette I just think that would make the robot better and the Corvette better😁

Wouldn't leaving the roof section extended in robot mode make the back look thinner and the cloak a bit more longer or least cover the back more. I mean just folding in the bumper section and not folding the roof into the back work? I own the TLK version and i just fold the bumper and leave the hood-roof section unfolded for more back coverage.
