@SonicrailinX

Things to remember is that in most cases when Brawn got shot, it was at a relative distance, where in the movie, Starscream nailed him with Megatron at point-blank range for maximum effect. And even if Brawn did survive the shot and was just stunned from it, remember what happened to Ironhide. He held in long enough to overhear Megatron's plan, grab hold of Megatrons's leg in a last effort to stop him, and got blasted point-blank in the head with Megatron's Cannon! And while they wouldn't show in the movie, seeing such "Heroic Nonsense" from one Autobot, likely lead Megatron to make doubly sure the other Autobots were down permanently by headshotting the rest of them! Plus they never showed the bodies getting dumbed into space, or the shuttle crashing . . . but odds are that one way or another, there wasn't going to be much left of any of them to save.

It's a shame it took so long for one of these movies to simply have the characters be recognizable. If the Transformers had looked like that in the live action movies to start with, it would have been received better by more of the fans. I just don't understand who these movies are made for? Why does a movie based on a children's toyline have a woman asking her son if he's...um...doing what Pee-Wee Herman got arrested for doing in public? (Don't want to use that word in case kids are reading this.) And I heard a later movie (I only saw the first two) had a character that had to carry around a card explaining "Romeo & Juliet" laws, and then Optimus Prime kills a human played by Kelsey Grammer. Yeah, I'm not a fan of those movies.

A lot of fans didn’t like that such a powerful Autobot like Brawn was killed of at the start of the movie from one blast. Me? I was shocked and saddened by Brawn’s death, but his demise was feasible. It was Starscream - a crack shot - wielding Megatron (the most powerful Decepticon at that point in time) in gun mode. A precise, powerful shot in Brawn’s neck/shoulder region from two of most dangerous Decepticons of all time. And Brawn was charging towards them to try and stop them. He died a hero’s death.

Fun fact - Brawn in Transformers Animated has the same voice actor as the original G1 cartoon. Though unfortunately in Animated, he had no voice lines, only making the odd grunt.

I think on a modern take it would be good to reassign him into anti-bomb specialist rather than demolition (since this suggests more of a explosives specialist and that's Wheeljack's thing), he already looks like a bomb squad jacket and his durability would be excellent for the job.

LOVE brawn. Always reminded me of Ben grimm from the fantastic four. My fav line from him iirc was shock wave attacking him saying "prepare for extermination" (or something) and brawn replying "prepare for a very large headache" as he attempts to hit him with a girder 😂

If Marvel and Hasbro ever get around to collablorate on a comic crossover again, they should have Brawn team up with the Thing and the X-Men’s Colossus against the Juggernaut.

Speaking of Team Charr, I really want to hear about Strika. As far as I'm aware and can remember, she's the first main female villain in the Transformers series. Obviously, Nightbird has the honor of being the first female enemy in the series, but she was just a one-off character that never appeared after her starring episode. Strika meanwhile was one of the big villians at the latter half of Beast Machines.

also, strika had sapience and intelligence. nightbird was a non-living robot built to help mankind...with...giant nunchucks...

Is Blackarachnia disqualified as the "first main female villain in Transformers" because she eventually switched sides? That would be the only reason I can think of for her not being called "first". I do agree that Strika needs to make a reappearance, though. She's been criminally underused.

I've never planned on contributing to the TFwiki, since I know we have TF legends like yourself on there, but I couldn't help but notice the machinations of moderator "M Sipher". I think you'd be doing the fanbase a big favour if you kindly asked him to pull that giant stick out of his ass. Glad to see this channel still going strong. I wouldn't love TF nearly as much if it didn't have a consistent flow of enthusiasm pumped into it by its fanbase.

To anyone still questioning about Brawn's toughness, I have some explanation from my understanding: - Brawn was killed by a blast from Megatron in pistol mode. We all know how strong Megatron is and always will be. His fusion cannon is one of the most iconic and powerful weapons in the franchise. In his pistol mode, all energy that is required for his robot mode can be used for his pistol mode. Therefore a blast from it would kill if not all, dozens of Transformers. Not to mention that Brawn along with Prowl, Ratchet & Ironhide were ambushed. If we are jumped on, we are more than likely in panic. And definitely vulnerable. Brawn can withstand most artillery. And Megatron's infamous fusion cannon isn't among that for damn sure. - If you take some look at Brawn's profile, his weakness includes electromagnetic & wave-based attacks. And if I'm not mistaking, Megatron's fusion cannon can easily launch such blasts. So there. - Brawn is a tough nut. That's undoubtedly true. But Megatron is definite among the toughest. Still. My point is more for reference that factual statement. Nevertheless, he may die from a blast. But he ain't weak. Just strong one comes across stronger one.

There an 80s horror movie where a nascent AI basically traps a woman in her “prototype smart home” and has his way with her, downloading himself into their cybernetic baby…. Evil Seed or Seed of Evil, something like that? I always thought it was loosely based fanfiction of that end fight scene in Superman III taken to the next level.

Seems more like some derivative of a jeep to me. And I think the TFwiki says it's supposed to be a Suzuki Jimny SJ20, though his alt mode seems quite a bit different. So I'll say he's supposed to be a hard top jeep.

Brawn was one of my all time favourites growing up, which made it all the more painful when he was the first of the original cast to go. I hadn't really thought of it, but in the Bumblebee movie, Brawn's only appearance ended with him getting shot in the shoulder, much like he was in the 86 movie.

Oddly, I like the idea of Brawn and cover girl being married, though the conceiving a child thing is definitely weird and races a looooot of questions, but I would like to see more of this. Earth and her people became the home of the wayward transformers, and they adapted many of their customs and beliefs into their culture and vise versa. I’d love to see more stories of integration. Maybe a church dedicated to Primus or schools teaching intergalactic history. There’s so much untapped potential.
