This game was so dope. 8 year old me getting stuck on that Jazz vs. Jetscream and Barricade fight is forever etched in my mind, and the amount of joy I got from finally beating it was immeasurable.

Blackout was SOOOO satisfying to play as in this game. One time, prior to his fight with Ironhide in the decepticon playthrough, I ran around Mission City blasting his big blue cannon until EVERYTHING was destroyed. Probably took me over an hour, but it was just that addicting!
@@lsmithhat8541 Agreed! Any other boss fight would have been a breeze with Blackout. Though Ironhide was admittedly a tough one without throwing something at him.
@@thomaslardinois6383 the ironhide boss fight mission was one of the hardest in the game. In general the decepticon campaign was harder than the autobot
@@bronxx4817 I will say, the Jazz v Starscream and Blackout probably takes the cake for hardest boss fight for me. But yeah, in general the Decepticon playthrough felt more challenging. Still bummed we never got to play as Brawl though.
@@JustAreru I played a lot on the ps2 and I loved quite a few movie tie in games. Yes the were mostly bad some of them had a charm to them than modern games mostly lack.
Honestly it was kinda necessary to axe them after a while. Every tie in game had to get crunched out and usually ended up really poor because of it. Even in this franchise you have games like Dark Spark which is a total joke. With how much more successful video games have to be to pay off the workers nowadays it’s not very sustainable or in demand to keep making cheap tie ins.
Aside from FOC and WFC this is the best transformers game out there. Playing as Blackout and destroying the base with those EMP grenades was so fun. Just about every character was fun, unique, and able to unleash absolute mayhem in combat. Especially Ironhide where he point blanks enemies with his cannons
The Transformers Armada game on PS2 is pretty fun too, though you don’t get to play as Decepticons. But the boss fights and soundtracks in it are amazing.
Damn this game gives me chills, I had a DVD of this game, but suddenly my (ultra potato) pc malfunctioned... I kept the DVD safe for 3 years straight hoping someday my pc will be recovered, and after 3 years when a technician made my pc work again, I installed and played this game, I was shocked that these type of high graphics are playable on my weak pc!!! So yeah maybe other latest games are better in graphics and gameplay, but this one will always best for me because of those memories!!!
Memories are cool, but damn 3 years? I would've bought a new pc at least a bit better from the old one cuz u know... Pc components nowadays are too pricy.

Well, cheers m8 goodluck with saving up. Hope you get a good one. And yeah, if you do have one someday, try looking for TF Fall of the Cybertron, that's a good game and quite old enough as well.
As a kid I loved destroying the military base with Starscream and the city with Megatron. I also enjoyed driving around the suburbs as Bumblebee, Barricade and Optimus Prime
The fight where you play as Megatron vs Optimus had me so mad at the end of game going from location to location tryna find that bastard before the timer ran out, classic amazing game buried in my brain.
F in the chat for people who tried so hard to play this game on the Wii back in the day. It wasnt until like 2012 when I discovered how glorious the PS2 version is. I never had the xbox 360 version but a friend had it and it looked great

Man oh man does this gameplay bring back so many memories. I used to love destroying everything insight as a decepticon. Game on ps2 were ahead of their time. Nowadays games feel so boneless.
TF Cybertron and The game is one of the best Transformers that I have ever played. The other storylines don't seem to make any sense for me. I miss these old games, they've been making crazy games ever since.

This game was my childhood and so much better than the revenge of the fallen's game, you could actually change between robot mode and car mode whenever you wanted
It fucking sucks that I will never be able to enjoy this game the same way again. I can already feel my motion sickness acting just watching the characters move. I loved this game growing up, Jazz still has to be my favorite of them.
The Incredible Hulk game was so addicting. I loved playing with the Abomination skin and just in general picking up those silver soldiers and fucking YEETING them into a building at the speed of sound and just watching their rag dolls flop.
@@Aric_EPU I was a red hulk fanatic. I can still remember grabbing citizen npcs, climbing the nearest skyscraper, and chucking them into the Hudson river lol.
This game gives so much nostalgia, I could never clear the level after bumblebee no matter how many times I tried. I used to feel the animation is so good but now it looks alright lol
Remember the mission when bumblebee was captured, and he has to destroy like, i don't know six tunnel and have to get out of there before the tunnel explode? That one always give me heart attack
MAN, as a kid it was my dream to play this bloody game, and I never got to. Damn, the youtube back then was so low quality that I couldn't even tell the shape of that crosshair, it was just a blur and that's how I knew THAT was THE game.
if the maps were bigger the game would be better - but understandably creating multiple maps for different parts of the game wouldve been resource heavy for a 2008 game
I’ll be honest with you. I never beat the Autobot Campaign until way long after it came out. I didn’t have internet as a kid so I didn’t know how to beat Barricade. So I did the Decepticon campaign and got stuck on the ironhide fight with blackout. I didn’t beat that game until 2013 when I had internet. The first thing I EVER did on the internet was look up “how to beat barricade’s ass in the TF game” went back and beat both campaigns the next fucking day. It was worth it. Loved this game.
it baffles me that this was the only game that was good in this movie franchise, like they could just go free roam and it would hav made the other movie games way way better.
Every time I beat him it was just barely. That was easily the hardest mission in the game. I think the second hardest mission was fighting Ironhide as Blackout
@@bouncyblight2001 that blackout mission was fun. The level of destruction in this game was pretty good for what it was. TFROF was my favorite game outta the 2 because of how fun the online was. I wish servers were still active to this day
@@bouncyblight2001 if you ever get a chance you should definitely pick it up. The gameplay loop is really fun imo. They also had dlc with the g1 versions of most auto bots and deceptcons. Also cheat codes for different versions of characters.
