Transforming a Windy 37 grand mistral boat. Changing the upholstery, covers, Isotherm fridges, lighting, etc. We started the project by contacting TF Design a company that specialises in refurbishing boats/yachts, they came to our boat measured up and made templates for the upholstery. Whilst the seating was taken out, we took away all the old carpeting and installed new carpets. Changed all the headboards and beds in the cabins, installed new LED lighting, new Garmin plotter, removed the old caulking and put new caulking in. Once all the major work was done, we called reinstall the new seating and bedding.
I must mention the portable dishwasher Bob that we invested in, Bob is the brand, absolutely fantastic, as is the Magma grill that we purchased and have mounted on the bathing platform.
Polishing, we started on the polishing, it's very important to mention that before you start with the polishing that you wash the boats gelcoat properly, we used a product called Abnet, very effective in getting rid of stains etc. once the boat had been cleaned, we then proceeded with the rubbing of the gelcoat to get rid of any oxidation, for this we used a product from Menzerna called gelcoat cut compound (heavy cut compound) the results are amazing.
We also used a product from Tershine to give the boat a gleaming shine.
