People have been transforming gold for centuries. Follow Todd Alan as he takes two old gold wedding rings and molds them into a beautiful swirl ring without melting them down at all. He simply uses gold's malleable, fluid nature to his advantage as he works the metal using knowledge he's built over his lifetime as a jeweler.
Todd has been developing his handwoven artform for over 35 years and has created some incredibly intricate and stunning pieces. The artisan swirl ring created in this video is one of his more recent "braids" and because of the way in which they are created, each comes out uniquely.
