Hormones don’t change the larger frame; bone size, the larger cardiovascular system, bigger lung capacity and plenty other things. If you went through male puberty, you have the physical benefits of that development. Current hormone levels are not the only factor. Men and women sports are separate for a reason.
E.G. when did we start putting feelings before facts? Why should biological women suffer because of a small percentage of men who transition into women? It affects biological women. Those girls competing against the transgender girls will have less of a chance of a scholarship. I don’t care whether people transition or not but when it starts affecting the larger population, especially biological women then yes, I’m going to be upset.

Once as a boy-teenager-karate beginner I had sparring with girl who was european junior champion in kick boxing at the time. She was (no doubt) born girl with a pretty face, weight a bit less than me but her arms were very muscular (much more than mine at the time 😉). I was 15 yo she was about 18. She pressed me, beat fast combinations but not harder than my collegues from beginners group. When she pushed me to the corner I threw one low kick in maybe 50% of my capacity. I saw tears in her eyes. I said sorry, closed my head in gard and to the end of the round I had let her to beat me as sandbag. After I had only small bruise on my ribs, she told me that she fought exactly like on competition.... Yeah, born boys have no advantages.....

With the hormone therapy they are losing a good amount of testosterone. And anyway, everyone of every sex has testosterone at various levels. This means plenty of females are stronger than plenty of males.
HRT, especially after 2 years, greatly affects muscle mass, bone density, height, sex drive, heightened/lessened senses, tissue variables and others. There's still a lot for scientists to research on this topic.

Mens bodies have evolved to be stronger than women since hunter-gatherer roles. It is much easier for a biological male to gain muscle mass and have more endurance for running.
The only case we know in high-level sport is Caster Semenya whose actual birth gender is in serious doubt. And in the case of these students there is absolutely no question of transition. It's not about transpeople who safe money all their lives because they live in the suffering of being born in a body that is not theirs. If one of these "girls" is allowed to complete at the college level in women's sports, then it will be the end of biological women in sports. If one college has an unbeatable athlete, the only way every other colleges will be able to complete is by finding a former male that is as fast or faster. The result is only biological men are recruited to participate in women's sports. This generates a cottage industry of men going "trans" so that they can get a free ride to college competing as a woman.

Do they realize that it's not only hormones ? There is a reason why you can tell appart men and women just by looking at their bones. Men and women have different body and hormones won't change your bones shape. The shape of the muscle are different too, since the bones aren't the sames, so are the muscles who link them. Also men have bigger organs than women, bigger lungs and bigger hearts, which make for more oxygen for the muscles and given more quickly thanks to the faster blood flow. That can't be changed with hormones. And whatever they do, they'll be at an unfair advantage because of those traits they were born with. So except in the case where they were born significantly weaker than an average man, they'll always be stronger than women.

The problem I see is these two will be competing for sports scholarships that should be going to biological girls. There needs to be some way that those with a biological advantage don't stomp out those that work hard to get something. That wouldn’t be the fix though look: Transgender people make up for 0.6% of the population as a whole. Which means if there is a transgender person on a team it probably would just be them or maybe one other transgender athlete. There wouldn’t be enough people to make up one entire team. Also that is segregating transgender people from the rest of the group which just seems kind of off.💁🏾♀️

So I'd settle for trans girls who have had hormones for a year or more being allowed to compete. Also there are cases where trans girls don't even place against cisgender girls !! There are plenty of females who have more testosterone than males so the "males are stronger" line is not entirely accurate. Also, it's been proven that a person's sex does not determine their gender. These males are not only women, they are having hormone therapy which is shrinking their testosterone level and causing their estrogen level to rise. And, finally, it is illegal to refuse someone the opportunity to be on a sports team that fits their gender, as long as they met the requirements at tryouts.
I am a female track runner and this actually scares me because I work so hard, my body aches and if I'm going against males who are taking drugs to be slightly weaker, those said makes say "just run faster" I can only be so fast with my actual female body :'(

It's understanding basic biological interaction between androgens and the musculoskeletal (also organs and other aspects) system during puberty and beyond. IMO you can use whichever bathroom you want, chose how you are called and live how you want. But when it comes to competitions, you can't deny basic endocrinology.
