Hi Ashton! I stumbled upon your videos a couple of weeks ago and hearing you talk about how so many narratives around trans experiences are built on hating myself/my body made me realize I have been relying on those narratives in so many cases. With that realization, I have had so much more clarity and I have been working through so much shame around being trans and nonbinary. So thank you! I have had a mindfulness practice for almost four years now and have found it absolutely invaluable. I want everyone to feel the power of what it can do--I hope this video does so for other folks!
Also, I was wondering if you could talk about why you chose to start making youtube videos as the way to spread your message? Why youtube versus a blog, or writing, or what have you. And how do you deal with the comments and hateful messages you get? I've been considering starting to share my thoughts around transness, spirituality and self love on youtube but also can see the immense amount of hate and pushback trans youtubers get. How do you deal with that?
How do you deal with your eating disorder though? I'm MTF and i have an eating disorder because I wanna be super skinny with curves but i feel fat all the time and ugly :C
WALKERS Buddy, I am completely okay with being biologically female. I am biologically female. It is one of the most cool things about me. I love it! I’m sorry it bothers you so much. I love being transgender.
