The issue for no cargo coming is, is the production of raw resources within the city, and so the planes don't think they need to bring any in, and having the rail station so close to the airport causes the rail way to easily back it self up. The one way I recommend fixing it, would be to build a separate cargo setup away from the airport, so traffic doesn't back up, and the supply isn't focus into all one area.
@CityZilla
@CityZilla Год назад
I'm going to give that a try. I have had airports in the past with cargo setups not too different from this one so I never thought about that being an issue. Thanks for the suggestion!

Love it. One big comment: surface parking is a BIG no-no in transit oriented design.

If you look at the hearts of Korea there elementary school hold 1500 students. And if you are putting in tall buildings the heart of Korea has a med centre that is quite tall

Really like the end result. I am hoping for more middle tier buildings in CS2. It’s hard to from smaller buildings then to giant ones Not remotely close to hating. Love the build. Just saying what cities could improve on

Hey! Thanks for using my suggestion! I also have been having the same problem with my oil industry and airport on console, thanks for the temporary fix! Also for your next city idea make it island theme like Hawaii which relies on cargo ships and airport with no outside highway connects and it focuses on having a military base (Navy Air Force and coast guard) something like this would be very unique (inspired from OCEs new city)

Yeah, that's a great suggestion. I haven't checked out OE's new series yet. I'll have to give it a look. I don't like to copy people so if it's to close to what he is doing I'll probably put it in the backburner but we will see.

Hey! I have been playing along and doing my version of your Cities Skylines Beginners Guide. I do have some of the mods like you got but also Find it, Rico, and some other mods so I also learn me how to use mods with the game. This guide has been really helpfull, since october last year I had never played Cities Skylines before and now thanks to your channel I love this game :) I have also bhought all the DLC's to this game :) Last week I got a big problem, I can't draw lines for public transport any more. I tried, and it works with like 2-3 stops then CS seams to "forgot" about the line and I can't choose to connect more lines/stops that I want. This is with all public transports. I had the mod Lifecycle Rebalance Revisited on before, now it seams like it working better, but I'm not sure. Do you as pro know have en experience in this problem? Sorry for long message ;) Keep up the great work!

Is your city the same size as mine or have you expanded it much further. What can happen is you eventually will run out of pathing units. I have never experienced it with a transit line but that is my best guess without looking at the city first hand. You can check your game limit with the extended managers library mod. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

@@CityZilla Thanks a lot for answer. I dont think so, since I also have removed a bit of the city and changed things. I have around 118 000 citizens in it. The first time this error happend I even removed all my transits & added them again. This didn't work either. I will see if I can manage to fix it by my self or if I could upload it to you only in someway and you can download my city and check it. I also use some assets from the workshop in my city.
@MachinecoreRecords

@@CityZilla It looks like it was a problem with path units, but it was a game error and the new quay with trees that made this error. I removed all of them and now it's looks like it's working as normal again. Really strange by Paradox that they dont fix this before they add a new quay to the game. I found it out becouse of what they wrote here; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wUqlCCI4C14.html Maybe in a near future I could show my build someway, it would been intreasting to know what a more exprience person think on it.

Yes, I have issues with airport not bringing in cargo (raw material for my generic industry) as well. Does anyone have a solution for this? P.s. the new harbor-bus-monorail hub is not getting mono trains or buses... is that a bug too? Love the video ❤
@CityZilla
@CityZilla Год назад
I think it's a bug with the dlc. I haven't heard about the new transit hubs having issues though.
@regulate.artificer_g23.mdctlsk
Woah there! Hold on. I don't think Labor Unions are the reason why rail transit in the US is having difficulty getting established. Most of the time, it's due to NIMBYs and the fact that everything in the US is _way_ far apart. Like you mentioned also, politics is part of the problem - specifically: car companies and related sectors/industries (e.g. petrol industry) lobbying _against_ viable transit solutions - since walkable and transit-oriented urban development means less car usage, and that affects their bottom line. There are many different factors _unique to the US_ that drives up prices for such projects. You can watch a video by *Alan Fisher* about California High Speed Rail (specifically the response video to Real Life Lore) to see what one of those factors are like. I would actually recommend *Not Just Bikes* and *City Beautiful* more (if you want more urbanism discussions); I would also recommend *Akruas* - another Cities: Skylines RU-vidr. Even if labor unions are part of the problem, it's doubtful that it's a significant factor.
@CityZilla
@CityZilla Год назад
Thanks for the insight! Yeah, I should have done a little more research into this. What brought me on to this was an article I read but they cited a lot of political factors that I had intentions of mentioning but never did. I didn't realize what I said sounded like I put all the blame on the unions. I love all the urbanism channels. I hope to get more involved in promoting better city planning through talking about real life issues. I need to better present it next time and make sure to include everything instead of glossing over it though. Thanks for the comment.
@regulate.artificer_g23.mdctlsk
@@CityZilla I forgot to say, but your city build is nice, I should mention. My only criticism is that the train station is a bit too big for just a single main line. Putting a tram stop at the front of the station is a nice touch, though, and it being a combination with a metro is an added bonus too.
@dinoj2082
@dinoj2082 Год назад
I do think that the political issues and general lack of funding is the primary issue. I, and 3 million other people, use the NYC subway on a daily basis and it's not fully funded. The operating budget is regularly funded by diverting money from the capital budget. If a subway system used by 3 million people a day can't get funded, what are the chances that smaller systems or new mass transit will be funded? I live in an area where mass transit is utilized by more people than probably anywhere else in the nation but we are still far more likely to fund road projects than mass transit. There was funding from local and federal sources to replace a rail tunnel that is more than 100 years old (damaged in Hurricane Sandy), however, it was diverted to road projects adding more than 15 years onto the tunnel project. Rather than being done 5 years ago, it's only just been funded again and is expected to be completed in 2035.

The rail line you just added has a lot of room where it enters the area.. great opportunity for a parallel cargo line to feed the area behind the mall, like a cargo outlet plaza.. just my opinion, but it's also my opinion that your channel is fantastic so disagree at your own peril! 😂
