hi Nick, I've been determined to do this without your great tutorial and I've finally cracked it. I can now do it without the use of a safety net . cheers
I've been working on various TH knots for a couple of years now, with various interweave patterns, and instead of a dowel rod might I suggest a small-to-medium PVC pipe? The whip could be threaded through the pipe and would help the knot keep shape during the journey.
Hey Nick, I'm making my first whip and I want to add a transition knot but I'd like to finish it now. Can I use double sided adhesive heavy duty mounting tape instead of a piece of leather or cowhide?
Hey Nick, what part of Indiana are you located? I'm in Northeast Indiana. I'm having a lot of trouble following the video, even when I pause it many times, do you ever show whip making in person?
Hey, Do you think you can make some for horses? I barrel race and I would like to make my own. but I don't want to hurt my horse....Do you think the bull whip could "injure" or just make them go faster?
Hayden Green my stepfather wants me to make a whip similar to a stock whip. This is so the whip won't catch a horse in the ears while riding. Maybe look at whips with long handles for less of a chance of injuring the horse.
Where did you get the needle you're using? I ordered a "jumbo" Perma-lok needle from Tandy, and it turned out to be only about HALF of the diameter needed to thread paracord into it
No harm done ^^ Thanks for priorizing. Could this be some sort of an off-colored Herringbone-pattern? Just with a red 20 footer on top, a blue 20-footer underneath it and then red-and-blue-combined (like melted together) red and blue ones in decreasing length?
