for me, I like everything in it's place. so I'm on it straightaway, when I get back from a roadtrip. I'm grateful I enjoy the process. I love being on the road, and I love being home!! I'm truly grateful! be well, Lulu
I'm so inspired by your organization and making a "small investment in time" to put things away in their proper place. I am decluttering and organizing so that I won't continue to hold onto a lot of things I no longer have use for or that don't serve me. I want a free and peaceful space to live and work in. Ever since I first saw your room area, I have wanted to do something along the same lines. I have freed up a garage space I've had for 9 yrs filled with things I held onto when I moved from a 2-bedroom apartment into my room in my friend's house. Now, I'm taking everything out of the on-site garage here and my room and what I kept from the other garage space and putting it in a storage unit. I plan to go through it from there and give away, sell, or discard the majority of my stuff until I'm down to what I absolutely need or want. I just paid for the unit and plan to move everything there this weekend! Watching you taking apart the van has given me a boost to complete the first phase of what will be my decluttered and finally free living space! I eventually want to relocate, buy, and live in a tiny home when I retire. I don't want to have to ship a bunch of stuff or figure out how to fit it in my home once I get it. Doing this now frees me and moves me towards my ultimate goal a little more each day! This will be my "not-so small investment in time" now for a lifetime of freedom later! I cannot begin to tell you how much you have blessed and freed me to live the life I've always wanted to live! ❤❤ Last thing, I've started changing how I eat, and I'm loving it! Like you, I really enjoy eating my meals! They are delicious and "serve me!" Next, I'll incorporate exercise. For now the moving and sorting of all my stuff will be my exercise!😂😂😂 Thank you, Lulu! I'm finding how to do things Tracey's way! ❤❤❤❤
When I turn 60 in a couple of years I plan on having my tiny home built by myself and paid for. It will be an 8 by 16 cracker jack of a tiny home. Im thinking of relocating back to Arizona, not sure what area yet. Good luck with your decluttering
hi Tracey!!! sounds like you have a plan!! so happy to hear you are eating better and loving it!! it's wonderful to take good care of yourself and serve yourself well!! happy decluttering!! 😊
Helpful tip: I used to own a sailboat and to stay organized (and so I wouldn’t forget stuff), I made a list of everything I knew I always had to take for each sailing trip (I have the list on my phone). I called it my “Steady List”. It took away a lot of the stress of wondering if I was forgetting something. Also, if an item was cheap enough, I’d get one for the sailboat and one for the house so I didn’t have so much to take off the boat and haul to the car when I got back to the dock. Made my life a lot easier. 🤷🏼♀️😁 And, for stuff I didn’t want to leave on the boat, but didn’t need at home, I kept it in a “to go” container so I could just grab it and put in the car.
So agree that you cannot take safety on the road for granted. Stay alert, keep your eyes on the road, drive defensively and pray a little for divine intervention m.
Lulu = JOY JOY JOY Lulu, you did it again. Brave!!! Entertaining us with mundane chores, which you do with such enthusiasm. Feeling very inspired. Looking forward to the next video.
Lulu your amazing! Just found you and so enjoyed your van build so creative! I’m wondering if some time you can show us how you prepare your smoked paprika chicken. Your way of eating is genius! Thankyou for sharing your life and knowledge with us, you make me smile! Love your way! 😃✌🏼
Love having two videos in one day. You made good time on your way home. And still with a lot of energy left to unpack and get everything organized . Glad there were no problems or slow downs and you got thru the construction okay. Hope you rest up tonight and get a start on your tomorrow activities.
Thank you Lulu! After watching your reflectix idea in your electric cooler, I used it in my non-electric cooler. I put a piece inside on the bottom, added frozen bottles of water, then my salad and veg items, etc, then a piece of reflectix that fit snuggly on top before closing the lid. Two days later, everything was as icy cold as if in a refrigerator. You are a genius!
hi Janice!! so happy the idea worked out well for you! and, just so you know, my cooler is non-electric. it's just a regular cooler!! the 12V freezer I keep under my bed makes the ice for it!! 😊
Fun video watching you unpacking your van. That transfer bucket was a smart idea to carry things in. So glad you made it home safely. I love that beautiful necklace that you wear. Pretty earrings also. Your kitty is adorable. I'll bet he or she was very glad to see you back home.
Home sweet home. I think the van needs a name ha, she's now home to rest and on standby, a work in progress. She's your bff. She done good. 💜 nice ride
Welcome Home, LuLu! It was a fine trip and visit with your daughter! Your unpacking was so admirable! The last, the bed, did look sooo comfortable. But I am glad you are home safe and sound to be in your own bed with your dear cat! You can be very pleased with yourself! Best regards, Patricia
Wow I was just thinking about you Saying I miss Lu. Wonder how she’s Doing…then voilà. You not only posted one but two videos . Couldn’t believe it !!….lol Glad you are home safe Karen from Florida 🌴💕
You are too much 😂 I love how you have your routine so down!!!! And thank you for showing it all 😍Looking forward to your next trip. Plssssssssssss show me how you weight your food 😁. You really inspire me.
hi Marissa!! I have several videos where I am putting meals together using a food scale. I'll post one of them here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sB3ajNMkJwE.html
Hi Lulu I'm happy you enjoyed your trip and are home safe my friend. You are the most organized person I have ever met! I hope to learn alot from you not just about organizing but health tips too! I really like your video's! Lu just love you to pieces ❤
I have two Berkey filter systems, so one can just stay in the van! before each trip, I will empty it out and fill with new water after priming the filters. 😊
It was a shake down trip, when people buy new Rv's they camp close by for a couple days to see what works for them and what doesn't, what they never used etc. I like to clean out my trailer right away when I get home from a trip, I don't like to wait for another day just get it over with, allot of my stuff just stays in the trailer so it's typically food, spices, dirty cloths, sheets etc.
Welcome home and so thankful you have made it safely.💕 I love the music when you’re in fast speed lol.🤣 Love to you! Thank you for another great video!😄🦋💕🌸🌹
LuLu,, you’re so darn cute unpacking your van , girl you got right to unpacking , call me impressed, it’s always a great feeling driving up in your driveway, home, your daughter is beautiful, I love watching y’all dance and enjoy each other’s company, you’re blessed girl ❤ awe my heart melted when you kissed the kitty 🐈⬛ can’t wait to see your next video ❤
well, the reason it's not that overwhelming is that I have a small space at home with all the things I need and not much over and above that. so basically, if I just go through all my things in my home space, I can easily see what I need to take with me. it does make it easier when I'm not coming from several rooms of things to go through and try to remember. I used to make a list but I don't even need that anymore! 😊
Welcome home. Glad you had a great time. I watched the video of insulating your cooler. I did one like yours. Trying it out this weekend while on a trip to SD. I so much enjoy your videos.
Welcome home, Lulu. Glad you made it safe and sound. I love to unpack the car right away, too. It's so annoying when we have to run downstairs for things that are still living in it. And food containers left for a day? Yuck! It's so much nicer getting into a clean vehicle, though I know lots of people don't seem to mind. Can't wait to hear about the things you want to change... life is made for tweaking, imo! 🥰
Everywhere that is practical, keep a set of items in your van and in your room. That's what we did when we had a truck camper. Moving older items to the van (frying pan for example) and picking up a new one for your room. It's not expensive, with careful shopping. Often thrift store items are great! Keep non perishable foods stocked in your van, as well. Except in extreme weather (hot or cold) where the temperature prohibits it. Less lugging items back and forth. Staples like salt and pepper stayed in our camper. Do you leave your Berky in the van? You didn't mention how you care for it, if you do leave it there. I like the way you went ahead and did all the chores that are always needed after a trip. Sure makes it easier, when getting setup for the next trip, if (for example) the bedding is already clean!
hello Lee!! I leave the Berkey in the van. I have a second Berkey system in the house. before my next trip, I will empty the Berkey, prime the filters again, and fill r' up!! 😊
That’s a lot of work Lulu! 🥴Maybe you should buy some duplicates, and just leave the van stocked. All i do is pack my clothing cubes and food and head out! Get home clean the frig out and get the laundry.🤣
yaaay!!! lulu! you're home safe! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼and look at you go! all unpacked! you are an amazing queenager! happy for you that ye had such a great time with your daughter and a road trip that was without any difficulties! it's always nice to have those! rest well traveler. continued blessings! 🕊
Welcome home! When I come home from a trip I like to run the 🍽️ dishes, silverware, utensils 🥄, and Pyrex pan through the dishwasher to be sure everything is squeaky clean.
Hi Lulu, I’m so glad you are home safe and sound. It looked like you had a really nice visit with your daughter, what a beautiful part of the country. I grew up on a dairy farm and really miss living in the countryside, it’s so peaceful. It’s so great to have your things all put away and tidied up right away. I noticed something in your kitchen that I think is a desk organizer/ letter holder. You put frying pans in it, is that what it is? That’s genius! I’m going to borrow that idea. I love how organized you are, it’s really inspiring me to rethink a few things. It’s so much easier to put everything in its place when it has a place assigned to it. So what is next for you. Will you do small trips for the summer? I can’t wait to see you garden. But I’m super excited to see a tour of Sweet Pea ! ❤
hi Tracy!! thanks for your note!! yes, that's a desk organizer and I use it to put my fry pan, my food scale and in the back is my cutting boards. little sections on the side I put my spray oil and some cutlery. it's very handy!! I have a trip planned for the week after next and another one in July, stay tuned!!! 😊
Glad you made it home safely! I love how you put things away as you brought them into the house. I usually bring everything in then put it all away, your way is better.
hi Smirby!! I figured alternating between the two tasks breaks it up a bit, it feels like lots of small steps instead of one big heap of mess!! thanks for writing! 😊
So glad you made it home safely. The roads are busier than ever and you just never know. 😮 We live in Kentucky and are heading to northern Wi this weekend for my dad’s 90th birthday. 😁
Hi Lulu, glad you made it back safe. Nice to see you settling back into your home after your trip. Loved the spot you picked for the Lulu license plate!! 😀
Yay! Home sweet home. So much energy. Love the bin transfer method to unpack. Those packing cubes sure work well too. Look forward to your debrief video on what worked well or what you will change after using your gorgeous fitted van.
Well now we know where everything belongs in your place! I live in a bedsit and everything has its place too. Great ideas for unpacking your van. One day in the future when I have my van, I can use many of your ideas! Lovely to see your smiley face...my gosh you really did get a lot in the van...enough for months away. You mustve been tired after the travelling and unpacking.
Lulu I hope you enjoyed the time with your daughter. I live in Indiana and my daughter and grandson live in Alabama I’m always so happy to see them. Glad you made it home safely. 😊
I can't believe there was so much stored in your van. Kitty is saying "Aw, Maw! I missed you, but NOT that much!" Don't worry, she loves you. I don't have a closet as big as your's, but I saw that little storage dresser you had in there, and now I know how I'm going to change my closet. I take about 17 supplements. I have only two meds. Trying to eat better, and maybe I can cut the high b/p med. I'm sure it's because I'm slightly overweight, and eat crappy. You have inspired me, but I can't afford a beautiful van like you have. My car is not reliable. I'd love to visit my grandkids out of state. It's always too long between visits, years sometimes.
You are so organized, I’m working on downsizing my things. It doesn’t take you that long to put all away. I am much better than I use to be but still a work in progress. I will get there. So glad you trip went well.
